**Saffron PoV**
Rose settled next to me at the table and giggled.
I tilted my head, curious as to what she found so funny.
Gael poked his head out from behind Setsuka. "So, were you just kidding?"
I leaned back against my chair and smirked, leaving him guessing..
"Just don't burn the pancakes, alright?" I called out to Gael. "Or I might have to take over."
"I promise, Captain! I'll keep them safe!" he replied dramatically, drawing laughter from the others.
I nodded and got up to get my baby
Setsuka jeered as she glanced at her husband. "Milo and you sure become whimpering bunnies whenever Cap gets mad."
Gael blushed. "Hey! You ain't much better!"
I couldn't help but snicker.
The sounds of laughter and playful banter gradually faded into the background. I pushed open the door to our bedroom, and my heart swelled at the sight of Anis nestled in her basket. She was such a tiny bundle of joy, and I couldn't help but smile as I approached her.
