I panted heavily as we landed.
"You okay, Rose?" Kine asked, placing his hand on my shoulder.
I smiled. "Yeah."
"I'm scared," Sil whispered.
I rubbed his head. "It's okay, sweetie. You're safe."
He whimpered. "Vroom-vroom almost killed me."
"Don't worry, son. I won't let anything happen to you," Mrs. Daikiri added.
He smiled slightly. "I know, Mama."
Kine looked down. "I am going to go back to the clinic and investigate."
I nodded.
He glanced at me. "Please stay inside the house until I get back."
"Alright."
"Thank you."
"Take care of yourself, Kine," I said, wrapping my arms around him.
"I will. Oh, and just in case. Let's come up with a code word."
I tilted my head. "A code word?"
He nodded. "Yeah, so if someone pretends to be me, you'll know it's not me."
I smiled. "Alright. How about..." I glanced at Sil. "Vroom-vroom."
Kine laughed. "Okay, vroom-vroom it is. But, that will only work if I'm the one speaking. Sil says it all the time."
