My face heated up. Jiro was the one, I was sure of it. She had put up with sour attitude without showing much irritation over it. Rather, she had been mad at me about not taking care of myself. I picked back up my tray and ate fast. "Man, I really needed this!"
Jiro chuckled. "You worked up a big appetite then?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
She smiled. "Good, I'm glad."
I glanced at the TV. The competition had ended. The kid I saw earlier won.
I eyed Jiro. "Mind helping me shower?"
Her eyes widened and her face turned pink.
I chuckled. "I mean, I can manage if you don't want to."
"No, no," she said, shaking her head. She eyed the engagement ring on my hand and sighed. "Well, it's not like I haven't seen you shirtless before."
My face heated up. True, but there was a whole other half of me she hadn't seen.
She walked me to her room.
I sat down on her bed and took off my sweaty shirt.
"Do you want me to look away?" Jiro asked, twiddling her thumbs.
