"How is she?" I asked as Gael and Koyuki returned.
"She's resting now," Gael said, sighing.
"I see. Hopefully, she won't overdo it again."
Gael glanced at Koyuki. "So, I guess we won't be going to the party anymore."
I blinked. "Party?"
Koyuki facepalmed. "We were supposed to keep it a secret from you."
Gael snickered. "Oh, yeah. Oops."
I put my hands on my hips. "Who is planning a party for me?" I gasped. "Wait, is my parents?"
He shrugged. "I think so."
I laughed. "Well, they didn't need to go to such trouble. I'm just returning from a mission. Not like it's my first one."
Koyuki shook her head. "They probably wanted to do something special for you after what we've been through."
"True." I glanced over at Sil, who was happily chatting with Kiki and Kuma. He really seemed to have taken a liking to them.
"Think you two should go to the party. I'll stay back with my cousins and Artie," Gael said, putting his hands over his head.
