I waved at my tearful sister and flew up to the ring. I had to win this to cheer her up. Losing would've made her feel worse about her own defeat. "You ready, boy?"
Gil laughed. "I was hoping you would be the one to fight me. Sadly, our last fight got interrupted, but there will be nothing saving you now."
I crossed my arms and scoffed. "I'm pretty sure I was the one who was winning before you so rudely flew off."
He smirked. "Well, this fight will be different. I'm not running anymore." He held out his hand. "Fireball!"
I kicked the ground with the heel of my boot, causing a wall of stone to shoot up.
The fireball burst through the rock wall, covering the ring in dust.
I used the dust as a cover to get closer to Gil. While the kid might've been nimble, he was incredibly frail. All I needed to do was give him a couple of kicks and he would be rolling on the floor and have to have his djinn bail him out. Although, said djinn was the real threat.
