At noon, Snow Collins invited Bella Scott to lunch, and she gladly accepted.
The two agreed to meet at a Chinese restaurant not far from the ancestral hall. When Bella arrived at the restaurant, Snow was already there.
Snow was still dressed to the nines in a suit, looking refined and elegant.
It had been half a month since she last saw him.
They sat down and began with some small talk about trivial topics.
"I still want to marry you," Snow got straight to the point, halfway through their meal.
Now that Edward Anderson was dead, Bella had no reason to worry about him anymore. She wanted a stable family for her child, and he was the best choice.
Bella paused with her chopsticks in hand: "You should change your target for marriage. It's not too late. Stop wasting your precious time on me."
It wasn't that she wanted to remain chaste for Edward, but she just wasn't interested in marriage.
She had grown lethargic, with no energy to do anything.
