Upon closing the door, Bella Scott dropped her tote bag and asked, "What's up?"
Edward Anderson didn't speak on the other end of the phone, which made her somewhat impatient: "If you haven't thought of what you want to say, don't call me. If you have something to say when you call, just say it! Edward, do you know how uninteresting you are as a person? You're so indecisive; it's unlike a man!"
Without waiting for Edward to reply, she hung up the call.
She never liked people with a dilly-dallying temperament. If it wasn't for the fact that it was Edward, she would have cut off contact with him long ago.
Afterward, she went for a bath. Once she came out and saw a text message on her phone, she realized it was from Edward.
She initially wanted to delete it, but eventually, she opened it to see what it was about. It was just three glaring words: "I'm sorry."
