Right as it happened, the Death Knells broke free from the Empyrean Whisker's binds and spontaneously recovered by consuming Elixirs already stored in their stomachs. Slowly, the Grim Knell got up from its spot and climbed atop the Sphinger's body.
It surveyed its surroundings, eyed the Quip Clansmen afar and then focused on some of the Free Humans that formed the rear of the retreating group.
