Chapter 4 - The Towers' Arrival

No one knew where the towers came from.

Life had been peaceful. Ordinary. No divine intervention, no demonic corruption—just the mundane reality of everyday existence. Humanity moved forward, unaware that the world had already been rewritten.

The war? Forgotten. Every trace of it erased.

Then came the day everything changed.

2018.

All across the world, at the exact same moment, they appeared.

Towers—colossal, impossible structures that defied all reason. They stretched endlessly into the sky, reaching for something beyond mortal sight, their presence both undeniable and incomprehensible.

It was as if they had always been there.

Yet no one had ever seen them before.

They cast no shadows, had no seams, no markings, nothing to suggest they were ever built. They simply stood, unyielding, identical in form no matter where they appeared. The Tower of Champions had manifested, but not in a singular place—it existed everywhere at once.

For those who dared to reach out, the towers were both tangible and intangible. They could be touched, felt, yet never fully grasped. They were there, but they were not.

And then there were the other towers.

Unlike the ones that stood amidst cities, some towers took form in places no human would dare to tread:

One lay hidden beneath the ocean's crushing depths.

Another, buried inside a once-extinct volcano, now roaring with newfound ferocity.

A third, veiled within a cursed forest where no sunlight had touched for centuries.

Towers of ice, of space, of endless desert storms—each seemed tied to an element, though none could yet understand why.

They followed no logical pattern, no earthly rule. Their presence alone was enough to rewrite reality itself.

And with the towers, came change.

The Awakening of Power

At first, it was subtle. A shift in the air, an unexplainable pressure weighing upon the world. People began to feel something—an energy that had never existed before.

Some called it mana. Others, qi, or chi.

The name didn't matter. What mattered was that it was real.

It surged through the world, seeping into the very fabric of existence. It awakened something deep within the earth, something primal. Nature itself began to change before humanity could.

The first signs came from the animals.

Wolves grew larger, their eyes glowing in the dark like embers from an unseen fire. Birds no longer obeyed the winds, flying against storms as if they were mere breezes. Insects, once tiny and fragile, became predators, their bodies adapting to a world now brimming with power.

Then, the land followed.

Forests expanded, their trees twisting unnaturally, their roots consuming abandoned cities. Rivers ran wild, reshaping landscapes overnight. The ice caps froze over and melted at unnatural speeds. Volcanoes long dormant awoke, spewing blackened flames that refused to die.

And then, finally—humanity changed.

The first super-powered beings emerged, not from the towers, but from the world itself. Some could bend flames, others could move unseen winds, some felt the pull of the earth beneath their feet as if they were a part of it.

But they were not the first to awaken.

The beasts had come before them.

Danger zones formed—places where nature had evolved too fast, too violently, for any normal human to survive. Entire regions were marked as forbidden, territories ruled by creatures that had no business existing.

Yet, despite the chaos, humanity adapted.

The fear of the unknown gave way to something greater—ambition.

Because, with the arrival of the towers, one undeniable truth had been revealed.

There was something waiting at the top.

And with Adaptation, came peace.

However, it didn't take long for humanity to shift its focus. Governments, once obsessed with war and control, turned their gaze towards the towers.

What were they?

Why were they here?

And more importantly… what lay at their peak?

No matter who you were, where you came from, or what you believed—the towers called to everyone.

Anyone could attempt to climb. Anyone could touch them.

No one knew the reasoning.

The towers stood, unchanged, unyielding, silent sentinels watching over the world. Since the day they had appeared suddenly in 2018, warping reality itself, their presence undeniable yet their purpose unknown.

But even after five years, no one had breached the towers.

Many had tried. None had returned.

At first, there had been hope. The first brave souls to step forward, chosen by fate or luck, had vanished beyond the unseen doors. Some were never seen again, their fates a mystery. Others were spit back out, broken and battered, minds shattered beyond repair.

And then… silence.

No new challengers emerged. No records of anyone stepping inside. Even those who felt the call of the tower—its unseen pull, whispering in the depths of their souls—failed.

No one spoke about it openly, but the fear settled in. What if the towers were not meant to be climbed?

What if humanity was simply not ready?

While the towers remained untouched, the world had adapted.

By 2023, the once-chaotic emergence of awakened individuals had begun to stabilize. Five years of trial and error, research, and survival had led to the formation of a structured classification system.

At first, power had been wild, unpredictable. Some could control flames, some could heal wounds, others could reshape matter itself. But over time, as patterns emerged, society categorized them.

The most basic differentiation became clear:

Warrior Class – The physical combatants, enhanced beyond human limits, wielding weapons that could cut through steel, their bodies honed for battle.

Magician Class – Those who bent the world's energy to their will, commanding elements, illusions, and powers beyond understanding.

Support Class – The healers, enhancers, and strategists, those who empowered others rather than fighting directly.

Creation Class – The rarest of them all. Those who could forge weapons, items, even structures with mere thought, altering reality with their abilities.

These classifications were far from perfect—many fell between categories, some defied definition entirely—but it was a foundation. A way for humanity to understand the new world order.

And then, it happened again.

8th May, 2023.

A voice echoed in the minds of every living being, not just humans but beasts, birds, even the trees that had long since become something more.

[SYSTEM INITIALIZATION COMPLETE]

The words burned into their minds, their souls, an unseen force rewriting the very rules of existence.

And then—

[PLAYER IDENTIFICATION: CONFIRMED]

[WORLD ORDER: ESTABLISHED]

The world had changed.

Again.
