Shino's cold, piercing glance froze Fugaku mid-outburst. His fury dissipated in an instant, and the words that had been on the tip of his tongue vanished.
Fugaku could feel the chilling aura radiating from Shino's crimson Sharingan—eyes that seemed as deep and cold as an endless abyss. This wasn't the familiar warmth of his brother but a terrifying side of the Uchiha bloodline he had never known.
Shino turned his head back to face Aizen, his gaze sharp and unwavering. In a heavy tone, he declared.
"The nuisance has gone silent. Now it's time to settle our score!"
Aizen's smile didn't falter. His calm gaze fell on Shino as he chuckled lightly.
"Are you planning to make a move against me?"
Shino lowered his head slightly, his expression unreadable. In a voice laced with killing intent, he replied.
"Make a move...? No, Aizen. I'm going to kill you."
The chilling declaration transformed the battlefield instantly. The tension thickened, and the killing intent in the air became palpable.
"Boom!"
The ground beneath Shino's feet crumbled, sending shockwaves and dust rolling outward. His crimson Sharingan spun fiercely, the three blades in his eyes rotating as he growled.
"Yurai (Lightning Dominion)!"
Shino clenched his right hand, and in a flash, a massive black hammer forged of concentrated lightning materialized in his grip.
As he grasped the weapon, his body emitted a dazzling burst of black lightning.
"Crackle!"
The sound of electricity tearing through the air echoed as Shino vanished in a flash of black lightning, reappearing at Aizen's side in an instant.
His crimson Mangekyō Sharingan locked onto Aizen, and with no hesitation, Shino swung his Lightning Hammer downward.
Aizen's smile faded, replaced by a stoic expression as he calmly raised Kyōka Suigetsu to block the incoming strike.
"Boom—"
The ground beneath them collapsed, creating a massive crater that sent waves of debris and dust flying in every direction. Rocks jutted out from the earth as fissures extended outward, shrouding the battlefield in smoke.
The nearby Konoha ninjas, including Jiraiya and Tsunade, quickly retreated to avoid being caught in the destruction.
From within the smoke, a cold voice rang out.
"Thunder God!"
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Countless sharp, massive bolts of black lightning shot out of the dust cloud, covering a radius of nearly ten meters with crackling energy.
Aizen emerged unscathed, now standing high in the air, gazing down at the battlefield with an indifferent expression.
From the smoke below, Shino's voice echoed again.
"Rumbling Thunder!"
His Lightning Hammer dissolved into crackling energy, reshaping itself into a massive Lightning Cannon.
Shino gripped the cannon with both hands, pouring an overwhelming amount of chakra into it.
"Zing!"
A brilliant glow emanated from the seals etched onto the cannon.
"Boom—"
With a sound like thunder, a massive sphere of black lightning erupted from the cannon, tearing through the smoke and hurtling straight toward Aizen.
Aizen observed the attack with a cold, detached expression.
"Whoosh!"
As the lightning sphere approached, Aizen's form flickered, vanishing to another point in the air. Yet, another sphere of lightning immediately followed, locking onto him.
Aizen's brow furrowed slightly as he glanced downward.
On the ground, Shino stood resolutely, his expression cold and unyielding. His crimson eyes tracked Aizen relentlessly, and his cannon continued firing.
It was clear—Shino wouldn't stop as long as Aizen remained airborne.
Aizen flickered from one location to another, dodging sphere after sphere. Each impact lit up the night sky like a storm of lightning, the sound of each detonation shaking the battlefield.
But then, in the blink of an eye, Aizen's figure vanished entirely.
Shino's eyes narrowed, his crimson Sharingan scanning his surroundings.
Suddenly, a chilling sensation ran down his spine.
From behind him, Aizen's calm, amused voice spoke.
"Being on the defensive isn't my style, Shino."
"Zing!"
Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu slashed downward, emitting a blazing white blade of energy.
"Boom—"
A massive fissure appeared on the ground, carving a deep trench that extended far into the distance. Dust and debris erupted into the air, and the earth looked as though it had been plowed by a colossal force.
Ninjas near the impact zone scrambled to retreat, their faces pale with fear as they watched the devastation unfold.
Under the moonlight, the battlefield grew silent. All eyes were on the massive trench, and a mixture of hope and despair filled the hearts of the gathered ninjas.
"Is he dead?" a nervous Iwa ninja whispered.
Another Iwa ninja sighed heavily, his tone somber.
"To hold out against someone like Aizen for that long… it's already a miracle. Even Lord Tsuchikage couldn't—"
Elsewhere, a Mist ninja swallowed nervously.
"Are all mainland ninjas this terrifying?"
His companion gave him a stern glance.
"Now's not the time for that. Let's hope that Uchiha man is still alive. If not, we're all doomed."
In the center of the battlefield, Aizen stood with Kyōka Suigetsu in hand, gazing expressionlessly at the trench he had carved. He muttered to himself.
"Did he block it…?"
Before his words could settle, a thunderous noise erupted from the distance.
"Boom!"
From within the trench, a massive black figure emerged, leaping onto a high ridge.
Under the moonlight, its form became clear—a towering figure clad in black armor, crackling with black lightning.
In its left hand, it held a massive Lightning Cannon, and in its right, a formidable Lightning Hammer. Its presence was both awe-inspiring and terrifying, like a god of thunder descended to earth.
Inside the colossal figure, Shino stood with a deep gash across his chest. His crimson eyes burned with determination as he stared down Aizen and growled.
"Budōhōmei!"
The gathered ninjas stared in disbelief, their expressions shifting from shock to exhilaration.
"He survived! That guy actually survived Aizen's attack!" a Mist ninja exclaimed.
"He actually… blocked it?" a Sand ninja murmured in disbelief.
Among the Konoha group, Jiraiya and Tsunade exhaled deeply in relief, though their eyes still carried concern.
Behind them, Fugaku's tense face lit up with excitement. His Sharingan burned brightly as he fixated on the enormous figure.
"He's alive! My brother's alive!" Fugaku shouted, his voice filled with joy.
Staring at the massive figure, Fugaku's eyes glimmered with admiration.
"This… this is the power my brother now wields."
Meanwhile, deep in a dark cavern, a pair of glowing crimson eyes flickered to life, gazing upon the battlefield as if piercing through space.
A hoarse, ancient voice echoed in the darkness.
"So this is Aizen Sōsuke…? No wonder he harbors such arrogant ambitions. To wield such power at his age… it's impressive. Unfortunately, his vision is not aligned with mine. For my plan… he must die here."
A cold glint flashed in the crimson eyes as the voice trailed off.
