-------------------------------------------------------------
Under the shroud of night, a chilling aura swept over everyone present.
The crowd stood dumbfounded, staring at the scene before them.
With just a single strike from Aizen—so swift it was imperceptible—dozens had perished in an instant. Many more ninja seemed to have lost the will to fight.
How many strikes from Aizen could the rest of them endure?
This question plagued the minds of the remaining ninjas. The morale they had gathered moments ago began to waver.
Some even lost the courage to face Aizen altogether.
Even Ōnoki, standing on the battlefield, couldn't help but grimace, his expression dark and heavy.
"Disperse, everyone!"
Ōnoki's face turned solemn as he shouted loudly.
Though his command was unnecessary—those present already understood the need to scatter. Staying clustered together against an opponent like Aizen, whose casual strike held such devastating power, was far too dangerous.
"Minato, prepare the battle strategy from earlier!"
At that moment, Ay shouted, his voice loud and clear. As he spoke, his body became shrouded in a powerful layer of lightning armor, surging with intense chakra.
Seeing this, Minato was momentarily stunned but quickly recovered and nodded firmly.
Boom!
The ground beneath Ay collapsed instantly as he vanished, transformed into a streak of lightning bolting straight toward Aizen.
At the same time, Minato gripped several kunai in both hands. Lowering his stance, his expression tensed as he hurled them toward Aizen and his surroundings.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The sound of piercing wind and the crackling of electricity echoed across the ruined battlefield, making everyone hold their breath.
Minato glanced at Jiraiya beside him and urgently whispered, "Master Jiraiya, we'll hold off Aizen. The rest is up to you!"
No sooner had his words left his lips than Minato's figure vanished.
Hearing Minato's words, Jiraiya's expression turned grave. He nodded heavily and sprinted toward Aizen, rapidly forming hand seals as he moved.
Meanwhile, Aizen stood motionless, his expression indifferent as he observed the unfolding chaos. Suddenly, a faint smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
Zzzap! Zzzap!
With the sound of crackling electricity, Ay, cloaked in lightning and trailing a blazing blue streak of light, appeared before Aizen in an instant.
"Aizen, prepare to die!"
Ay's face was twisted in rage, veins bulging across his forehead as he roared.
"Lightning Release. Liger Bomb!"
As his shout echoed, a deafening thunderclap roared to life. His right foot lit up with blinding light, glowing like a supernova.
Boom!
The ground shook violently as a massive shockwave tore through the air, ripping apart everything around them. The ground beneath Ay crumbled into pieces, leaving a deep crater.
Ay's right foot descended from above, tracing a blazing arc in the air as it struck toward Aizen with terrifying force.
Yet, facing Ay's full-powered strike, Aizen's smile remained unchanged, as if unfazed.
Almost in slow motion, Aizen calmly raised his left arm.
The next moment...
Crash!
It was as if a meteor had slammed into the ground!
The entire black rock mountain shook violently, sending shockwaves in all directions. Dust and debris filled the air, obscuring the battlefield.
At the center of it all, where Aizen stood, the ground within a hundred-meter radius caved into a massive, semicircular crater.
In the swirling dust, Ay's lightning armor still flickered. Yet his face was frozen in disbelief.
How... how could this be?!
He had stopped my Liger Bomb with his bare hand?!
For the first time, Ay doubted his own strength.
Through the thick dust, Aizen's magnetic voice reached Ay's ears.
"Not bad power, but you're still lacking. However, since you show potential for improvement, I'll allow you to keep that leg."
As Aizen's words faded, the dust around him seemed to stir slightly, as though an intruder had entered.
Suddenly, a low voice rang out near his ear.
"Rasengan!"
The rapidly spinning ball of energy swept away the dust, revealing Minato charging toward Aizen. His eyes were locked in focus, his body leaning forward, and his palm glowing with a blue, spiraling sphere of energy.
Though Aizen's back was turned to Minato, it seemed as though he had anticipated everything. His lips curved into a faint smile, yet he didn't move an inch.
Boom!
Minato's Rasengan slammed into Aizen's back!
For a moment, Minato stared in surprise.
Did it work?! he wondered.
But in the next instant, his pupils constricted. The figure in front of him—who he had struck—wasn't Aizen at all. It was Ay!
Cough! Cough!
Ay spat blood as the Rasengan struck his abdomen, his body trembling violently.
Minato froze, his azure eyes filled with confusion.
How is this possible?! I hit Aizen…
Just then, Aizen's magnetic laugh echoed in Minato's ear.
"Minato, you're still too inexperienced. If it were Jiraiya, he wouldn't have attacked me so recklessly."
As Aizen spoke, he raised his blade, Kyōka Suigetsu, and lightly thrust it forward.
Slash!
The blood-stained tip of the blade pierced straight through Minato's abdomen.
Aizen's calm gaze remained fixed on him, a faint smile on his face, his expression as composed as ever.
However, at that moment, Aizen's smile faltered slightly.
Minato lowered his head, his voice hoarse but resolute.
"Aizen… don't underestimate us."
Though his body trembled, Minato's bloodied hand firmly grasped Kyōka Suigetsu.
Thud!
With great effort, Minato leapt forward, breaking free from the blade. Grabbing Ay, the two vanished in an instant.
Slightly surprised, Aizen watched them disappear. Yet, he didn't pursue. Instead, a faint smile lingered on his lips as he murmured,
"Interesting kids."
Everything had unfolded in mere moments.
Both Ay and Minato moved with such incredible speed that most could barely follow.
But against Aizen, their efforts proved futile. In just one clash, both were severely injured.
