The servants all seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep, as they didn't hear the commotion outside. Gu Lanshan opened the door just in time to see the driver supporting Sheng Shi to the door, just about to push it open.
Sheng Shi was no longer beyond consciousness from his drunken state; he lifted his head and saw that the one opening the door was Gu Lanshan, wearing only a pale yellow nightgown. Her hair was lazily draped over her shoulders, and underneath her delicate chin was a snow-white neck and an attractive collarbone, which still bore the marks of their affection from the previous night.
Seeing Gu Lanshan, the driver immediately greeted her respectfully with a "Lady Shan."
Gu Lanshan smiled kindly at the driver, then turned to fetch a pair of slippers, placing them in front of Sheng Shi.
