Mr. Sheng entered the house with a spring in his step, casting a dubious glance around the empty living room. Not a single servant was in sight. He frowned, wondering where everyone had gone, and then went straight to the restroom on the first floor, took off his dirty clothes, showered, casually wrapped a bathrobe around himself, and, towel in hand, wiped his hair as he walked out.
Just then, the Housekeeper emerged from the kitchen and walked past the restroom door, spotting Mr. Sheng as he came out.
The Housekeeper immediately straightened up her body, lamenting her bad luck in her mind for encountering Mr. Sheng the moment she stepped out.
With her head bowed and holding her breath, the Housekeeper called out, "Mr. Sheng," and then planned to make a quick exit.
