Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Another one?

Twins ... Together.

These two words kept swirling around in my mind as my gaze fixed on the two adorable girls in front of me. One pink, one blue... they are twins. Sisters who wouldn't mind sharing ... they could even give me head together... and I could have both the pink and blue-haired sister underneath me at the same time!

"Ahm, I have heard that Oni Warriors aren't ideal for labyrinth parties?" Anastasia's voice pulls me out of my personal dreamland.

Damn, this fatty Slave Merchant knows how to sell. He hit the nail on the head by pointing out their best feature—they are twin sisters!

Even though I am no longer a virgin, the thought sparked an intense desire in me. After all, how could it not? They are sisters! Twins, no less!! And they are cute to boot! This kind of situation is rare even in porn from my old world. The lucky bastards who had slept with twins were considered legends back on Earth. And now, I could be one of those legends!

These weren't just any random cute girls, either. These were freaking Ram and Rem, one of if not the most iconic twin waifus in anime history. Hell, Rem alone could outclass most waifus in any popularity ranking.

Of course, Roxanne is still numero uno in my personal waifu rankings. She is simply the best. I can even confidently say that she will remain loyal to me until her dying breath—not that I would ever let her die before me.

Still, Rem had stirred my heart—and every other viewer's—during that speech to Subaru. And Subaru's brain-dead response afterward? A travesty. Why the hell would you choose just one? And although I wasn't able read all it's novels in my past life, but even watching the anime, I was disappointed over Ram's final choice in the romance department.

But now, what the MC of Re:Zero couldn't do, I can. Sleep with both the Oni sisters at once! Though I have to keep reminding myself, these aren't the same Ram and Rem from the show. There are some pretty major differences here between them. For starters, their very presence in this auction, as a slave is strange. Then there is the Oni Warrior job—it seems more like a strength-based role than the magic-centric abilities they had in the show. And their horns? In Re:Zero, Onis had magical horns that appeared during combat. Here, they are real, albeit small—more cute than intimidating. Even Lillia's horns, as a Sheepkin, are more prominent than theirs.

Although if not for these major differences and some more contradictions, I might have concluded long ago that I had somehow landed in a world that's a blend of Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World and Re:Zero.

"Ah! You don't need to worry about that, Customer," the Slave Merchant says, his voice brimming with confidence. "Those rumors are baseless. These two girls are well-behaved and docile. I take great pride in the education provided by my establishment. They will follow every order you give and never even think of harming you or your party members!" He pats his chest with a self-assured grin, addressing both Anastasia and me.

"Hm, yes they don't seem very hostile to me," I say, glancing at the girls. A flash of their cruelty from the Re:Zero anime crossed my mind, but I shake it off. Surely, the Onis in this world couldn't be that bad... right?

"Yes, exactly!" the Slave Merchant says with a satisfied clap of his hands.

Anastasia remains silent, but I know what she wanted me to ask. I go ahead and voice it. "What about their horns? I have heard that Onis typically have two... not one?" I ask looking at the girls curiously.

Ram's expression doesn't change, but Rem lowers her head, almost guiltily.

"That..." The Slave Merchant hesitates, giving a wry smile. "Customer-san, I can assure you of their quality. Twins in the Oni tribe are rare, so I can't say for certain, but it's said that Oni twins are always born with just one horn. So they were just born this way; they are not defective—that much, I guarantee!" He speaks with a confident look, though the word 'defective' lingers in the air awkwardly.

I notice Rem flinch slightly at the word, her head still bowed. Ram, on the other hand, remains stoic and unbothered.

"Yes, I don't think they are defective just because they have a single horn," I say, glancing at both of them. "In fact, it looks cute on them," I add with a grin.

I wasn't just saying that to flatter them—I genuinely didn't mind their single horns. At first, I had been skeptical. Why was this room empty, even though they were twins, that too sex slaves and willing to explore the labyrinth? They should have been fairly popular. But perhaps their single horns were keeping people away, marking them as 'defective' in the eyes of others.

Unlike that time when I was buying Sherry, Anastasia and Miria, where I twisted their flaws to negotiate a lower price, this was an auction. There was no need for that here, so I don't mind telling them my real thoughts. Even so, I need to keep my interest in them at check. This merchant—this fatty—could very well be one of those crooked slave traders Anastasia had warned me about.

Rem raises her head, her light blue eyes meeting mine. She looks visibly affected by my words. Even Ram allows herself a small grin as she looks over me.

"You are absolutely correct, Customer-san. And Onis are already rare at auctions. Combine that with them being twins, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," the Slave Merchant says, flashing a wide grin.

"We will see," I reply, winking at the Oni twins before turning to leave.

"Thank you for your time, Customer," the fatty says with a slight bow.

"Thank you, sir," Ram and Rem say in unison, bowing perfectly in sync.

As much as I wanted to say something reassuring, like I had to Vesta, I held back, as I know I shouldn't... so I just leave them be.

"I think he was telling the truth about them just being born with a single horn as twins," Anastasia comments as we step back into the bustling crowd.

"Yeah," I reply, pausing to lean against the wall, letting the stream of people pass by us. "Listen, I am going to say a few names. Repeat them and tell me if you recognize any, alright?"

Anastasia tilts her head, clearly puzzled but willing to go along. "Ahm, alright, sure," she says, her blue-green eyes narrowing in focus.

"Kingdom of Lugunica? Roswaal Mathers? Emilia? Felt? Priscilla? Crusch? Mimi? Hetaro? Ricardo?" I ask her one name at a time, my voice calm but my breath held in anticipation. She keeps shaking her head at each name, her expression making it clear she has never heard of any of them.

If this were Re:Zero, Anastasia would have recognized at least one of those names. Realistically, this rules out the possibility of this being that world—especially since she isn't the only girl I have encountered who resembles a character from another anime. Lillia and even Setsuna, whom I just met, look unmistakably like waifus from entirely different shows.

And yet, I can't shake this gnawing worry. It is not just Anastasia now—Ram and Rem are also here. That makes three significant characters from a single anime. My fears aren't unfounded, especially considering the overpowered beings in that world capable of wiping out entire cities without breaking a sweat.

"There is no Dragon Selection ceremony here in this Empire, right?" I whisper, my voice low and cautious. After all, that was the pivotal event that sparked the entire Re:Zero story.

"No, I don't think so," she replies, glancing at me with confusion. "I have heard about dragons, though. They are supposed to be the strongest demons outside of a Labyrinth. A lot of adventurer parties go out to hunt them, and the equipment made from their leather is insanely expensive," she adds with a grin, clearly drifting into thoughts of profit again.

I let out a small sigh of relief. "Haa... I feel a bit better now," I say with a faint smile. But then another thought strikes me. "Oh, yes—what about witches? Have you heard of them?" I ask, my curiosity rekindled.

"Hmm... yes, I have heard of witches," she says, tilting her head thoughtfully.

My heart skips a beat. "What?" I ask, my breath catching in my throat. So much for that fleeting sense of security. The most dangerous element of Re:Zero—the witches—exists here too?! "Tell me everything you know," I demand, trying to keep my tone steady.

The noise of the auction and the bustling crowd fades into the background as my focus narrows on her reply.

"I don't know much," she says with a wry smile. "I have just heard rumours that knights and even the temple burn witches in some far-off villages. But I can't be sure—it doesn't seem to happen anywhere near the capital," she clarifies.

Ugh, could this just be medieval superstition? Like the witch hunts from my world's history? But then again, the witches in the Re:Zero world wouldn't exactly let people burn them without a fight.

This is so confusing. I wish I could just Google it and get a straight answer!

"Alright, let me know if you hear anything—anything at all—about these names or witches, okay?" I say, exhaling deeply and trying to let the topic rest for now. She nods seriously in response.

"Let's move on, then," I say, making a mental note to ask Sherry and the others about this later.

With a slightly heavy heart, I proceed to the next room, Anastasia trailing behind me, clearly perplexed by my reaction.

At least I am not the only one standing off to the side talking with their companions. Around me, plenty of others are gossiping or holding serious discussions in the hallway, likely waiting for the auction to begin.

Now that I think about it, I still need to ask Lillia similar questions too—and confirm a few key names with her as well. And it goes without saying that I absolutely need to buy the twins and Setsuna. Not just because they are waifus, but because they might hold crucial information about this world. If this place really is a mix of other stories and not just the Slave Labyrinth, I need to know.

Oh, how I hope this is just a simple labyrinth world. If it is, I won't have to worry about any overpowered beings screwing me over. But I can't help smiling wryly, knowing that possibility keeps shrinking as I keep running into more waifus.

Still, I don't regret finding Ram and Rem. First of all, I have the opportunity to buy them now. And if nothing else, I have discovered a new race and even a new job. Although it seems to be a race-specific one, much like Beast Warrior. Rem probably hasn't unlocked it yet because she hasn't reached Villager Level 5.

Also I should make it a priority to visit the Imperial Library sometime. At the very least, I need to figure out all the races in this world. That kind of knowledge is essential in this alternate universe.

"Tch!"

A sharp noise snaps me out of my thoughts. An adventurer—Level 7, Male Elf—storms out of the room we are about to enter. His face is twisted in disgust as he mutters something about how could they sell someone from that cursed race here. Without sparing us a second glance, he strides angrily towards the next room.

Anastasia and I exchange a curious glance before stepping into the room.

Inside, we find a Level 6 Slave Merchant standing near a girl cloaked in a black hood. The girl is small and pale, dressed minimally in dark clothing. Her stark white skin contrasts sharply with her attire, and her long, sleek black hair frames her face. While most of her features remain obscured by the hood, her crimson-red eyes catch my attention—they seem unnaturally dull, almost lifeless.

"Ah! H-hello! Please, come in," the Slave Merchant stammers, hurriedly wiping the sweat from his brow.

Something about the girl feels oddly familiar as I let my gaze linger on her. My appraisal skill, still active, reveals the details floating above her head.

"Another waifu?" I murmur inaudibly in surprise reading her name.
