Days passed by, our money dwindled as I obviously lost my job at the butcher shop after I had to call in to tell them I had gotten into a motorcycle accident that tore the muscles in my legs.
But in that time, Hinata got better. She lost part of that painful shame she felt at utterly mentally collapsing on me and likewise, I loving her, never shamed her about it in the slightest.
However after a few days with Hinata used the bits of knowledge she had about medical care as a trained killer which she was being a ninja. Along with some chakra-enhanced medical cream she made, my legs were healed back up to normal after a good week.
And in that time as we were held up, I continued to practice my chakra manipulation and more importantly. Practicing my chakra enhanced martial arts like the martial arts from One Punch Man and the Muay Thai of Gaolan Wongsawot from Kengan Ashura for 'boxing/striking' martial arts that I could practice while being mostly immobile.
'Actually the One Piece, Rokushiki could also be emulated with Chakra as well.' I thought with a mental hum as I was sitting while meditating on my bath that was filled with nice hot water.
My body only sank a slight bit into the water as I sat in my full clothes on top of the water and hearing Hinata humming from the hallway as she was sweeping the hallway as she liked to do once a day. I got up and with a flex of my will, I used my chakra to pull the water that had soaked into my clothes and throw it back into the tub leaving me completely dry.
As I came out of the bathroom with the sound of the tub draining Hinata turned around with the broom handle still in her hands as she flashed me with a gentle smile as she asked. "Oh, are you done with training?"
I smiled and nodded saying. "Yup. I am mostly just making little water dragons in the water while multitasking to keep myself atop the water at this point."
She made a humming noise before she waved the broom at me with a teasing smile. "Look who is a little genius, now go ahead and make dinner it's your turn tonight."
I held up my hands in surrender utterly terrified obviously being beaten over the head by the terrible dusty broom. 'Not that she would do it. But her confidence was adorable as she sent me off to the kitchen.'
Knowing Hinata hated crustacean-style dishes but loving and still missing Japanese cuisine that was from her homeworld I decided to make her day using my culinary skills as I had gone and splurged at a local Asian supermarket.
'A nice three-course meal would be perfect for her. And I already have set the tea eggs to marinate since this morning so its ready.' I thought as I took out some chicken, cut it into thin long cubes and then pulled the cubes onto some metal skewers.
Rubbing the chicken cube stripes in some mustard to season it, I then took out some salt and pepper along with some liquid smoke and mixed it all together with some mild chili oil. Then I used a bbq paint brush to brush the chicken skewers with the mixture to season them to perfection.
'It's not like I have a bbq... But thankfully I can cheat by putting a lid around it as I cook it in the oven and put a small bit of this apple wood compressed wood smoke incense.' I though as I shaved off a bit so it wouldn't smoke much then I lit it on fire with a lighter and put the chicken skewers into the toaster oven as they wouldn't take up too much space.
So with the Chicken Skewers/Yakitori was cooking in the toaster oven I already had the main oven preheating along with some rice being cooked off to the side as I worked to make the next dish.
Basting slices of pork in a thick dredge of my family's secret recipe I then mixed in the Panko breadcrumbs so along with some mild chili flakes into the dry mix before double dipping it into the dredge before dipping into the secret dry mix before throwing the soon to be fried Tonkatsu pork cutlets into our air fryer.
Then with rather plain but still well-seasoned rice cooking in the pressure cooker, I then worked on the masterpiece for this dinner for Hinata. Her favorite thing in the world in Cinnamon Rolls.
And ohhhh I was evil... Making the cinnamon rolls, while in between the rolls, I slathered the layers with a thick heavily spiced apple sauce, and then atop the cinnamon rolls I sprinkled a bunch of chocolate chips that would melt just nicely into the creases leaving the hot chocolate sinful goodness that would contrast with the sweet applesauce.
While I was hard at work, I heard a loud sniff and then Hinata came up behind me with her arms wrapped around my chest atop my apron with her voluptuous breasts pushing up into my back as she rested her chin on my shoulder as she got onto her tippy toes.
"I smell it... I smell my cinnamon rolls!" She whispered with such fervor that I could feel her all but shuddering but I just let a hand back and gave her leg a pat as I said lovingly.
"Well Hinata... Go sit down on the couch darling, you got dinner to eat before you can even think about having any of these. Now let your man plate you up."
Hinata's arms squeezed around my chest before she actually shuddered and said under her breath. "You are lucky..." She spoke with something in her voice that made me confused at the meaning of that sentence but she pulled back and went into our living room/shared bedroom as this was only a single-bedroom apartment.
So I got to work knowing we had a good twenty-fiveish minutes to eat dinner before I would need to take out the cinnamon rolls, put the sugar glaze icing of them and then serve them up as they were piping hot.
Plating up the Katsudon with a couple bowls of chili oil and soy sauce for dipping, I also prepared myself a bowl of bbq sauce and then I plated up the Yakitori on another plate while putting hearty scoops of rice into a separate bowl.
"Alright Hinata, here you go." I said as I began taking plates out to her and our small eating table and seeing the spread she gave a heartfelt smile that touched the soul as she gently got up from the table, taking my face between her smaller hands she gently kissed me on the lips with her whispering softly.
"Thank you for all the hard work, Jake. I love it already."
I gave her a small kiss in return making her flush deeply at the first true kiss we had shared and then she hunched down in slight embarrassment and so we got to down to it.
We got to eating and with the mixes on the Yakitori there was a nice crust on the chicken from being smoked while being cooked and then blasted under the oven being put on broil for a couple minutes. So that was good and the Tonkatsu pork cutlets were also great though I admittedly liked my rice added to other dishes like Spanish rice or something to that effect.
Hinata was all but vibrating in her seat as I went back into the kitchen and glazed the cinnamon rolls with a nice thick white creamy load of icing that was just on the edge of being too much before you would go. 'Damn that's too sweet' Plus the bitter dark chocolate layer just below the icing would help with that as well.
I brought the platter of steaming hot cinnamon rolls and as I used a pie cutter to separate the cinnamon rolls and plated her up with one... She took the bite. Not a bite, no she bit into that succulent slice of sinful dessert and her eyes literally rolled up as she shuddered and moaned loudly into the cinnamon roll.
