"I need you to come with me." The Fixer replied prompting a pointed look from Alex.


"I need your help to deal with the Swindler of the Heavens. He is on the precipice of ascension and if he does ascend, the world as we know it would be doomed."


Alex, confused as he was by the Fixer's statement, turned to Elena for an explanation.


"What he said is true," Elena replied before adding. "At least, according to Ulysses."


"As much as I'd like a detailed explanation…" Alex trailed off just as another wave of negative emotions swept past them. 


The Fixer's expression shifted, perhaps affected by the sheer amount of negativity contained within the wave, which was a surprise considering Alex, Victoria, and Elena remained unaffected for some reason.
