Before Kang Jinhai and Wan Zhu could retort, Jiang Xiu chimed in. "I can't go either. We have our last practice tonight."
That was enough to kill the celebration plans entirely.
Wan Zhu groaned. "So we're just… not doing anything?"
Kang Jinhai sighed dramatically. "Fine. Then we'll just wander around the university or something."
Wen Liling crossed her arms. "Lame."
"Then go home," Gao Tian shot back.
"I will, if you keep talking," Wen Liling huffed. "Guan Ying, Yan Meixiu and I will just go around the campus to find handsome men, hehe."
While they bickered, Jiang Yue glanced at the cleanup still happening around the venue. She couldn't leave right away anyway—there was still work to do.
"I'll be here for a while," she told them. "I need to help clean up and finalize the reports. I also need to sort out the design files for NeuralSync before handing them over to the faculties. And I have to confirm the inventory count for the borrowed materials before we leave."
