For centuries, Shadow City was locked in an unyielding cycle of no proper weather, barren landscapes, making it a place where the concept of seasons had long been forgotten.
The sky had always remained perpetually grey, the air heavy with the lingering weight of the ancient curse and suffering.
But then things started changing upon Seraphina's arrival.
For the first time in 400 years, the sky cleared up, turning the beautiful blue. Air cleared up, smelling fresh and rejuvenating. And the city experienced its very first season - winter.
For four months, the land and the roofs of the houses were covered in a thick layer of snow. Lakes, and ponds were frozen, trees were silent, and people stepped out of their houses with thick fur coats wrapped around their bodies.
Despite the cold, the citizens loved the winter as it was a signal of things turning good for their cursed land.
And now, the cold season was shifting into another beautiful season - spring.
