Cang laughed, stroking his beard jovially. "I see that. It's a most impressive sight. Seeing my human race beat back the ink clan."
Smiles and the other 9th ranks joined us at the table. "Senior please, a lot of this result is-"
I raised my hand, stopping one of the newly promoted 9th rank's from speaking. "This is the result of everyone's effort. Had the line not been held for so long. There wouldn't have been enough time for me to achieve these heights."
Ink roared with a ferocious laugh, he was clearly pissed off with my presence. "HA! YOU'RE STILL NOTHING BEFORE ME!"
I swirled my tea, then downed the whole thing, slamming the cup on the table. "Ink, you have no room to speak so freely. What you see before you is merely a fraction of a fraction of what I'm capable of. If you don't come at me with the intent to kill, you will lose."
The 9th ranks who watched this interaction were stunned silent by the seemingly simple display. You see, a 9th rank's strength is so great that a simple flare of anger not only could but, would destroy the table and the cup at the same time. It's likely that there wouldn't even be a particle left to lay claim to its former existence. Yet everyone knew that I far surpassed anything like that, so surely there should have been some damage. But Ink was too ignorant.
"HA! You claim to be so strong yet you can't even break a simple table. I'm going to have so much fun toying with you."
"Just like you did before you killed the one person who treated you like family, Mu?"
"YOU BASTARD! I DIDN'T KILL MU!"
"Really, then why is it, she's dead? I've found that 7th ranks have no end to their lifespan, let alone the 9th rank." My eyes narrowed. "It's clear your insufferable antics led to the death of those who had once cared for you. It's time you faced the music, and met your end."
"I am Ink, I am not capable of dying. For I am Eternal."
"We'll see about that. You and I both know that's not true. Merely a way to intimidate those who dare to resist. Well I'm here to say you're going to die. A word of warning… You've felt pain before, correct?"
"That's not a warning, that's a question…" He fell silent while I awaited the answer. "Yes…"
"And who was it that caused you the most pain in your entire life?"
Ink answered, with a clear hint of reluctance to admit the truth. "First Light…"
"Hmm, are you certain that's the right answer?" I asked, waiting for a moment then shrugged. "Either way, after our battle, it's definitely going to be me at the top of that list."
"Oh and what makes you so certain?"
In that moment, I released enough power that the Mountain Passes, inanimate objects, felt a fear of my wrath. Ink's voice let out a blubbering sound. And I let that same, blood chilling smile my mother Su Yan is oh so good at come across my face. "Because, I'm not just going to kill you. I'm going to make you suffer a living hell that'll make you want to off yourself. And even if you do by some twist of fate, manage to kill me, you will be trapped in a prison made entirely of my own existence. You'll love it there, it's got plenty of purifying lightning to go around for thousands of corrupt souls… I made it with the intention of making the King of Hell jealous. So rest assured, it will be undeniably painful." Only then did I restrict my presence once more.
Ink, in a nervous tone, recoiled. "Hah Hah! That's not enough to scare the likes of me." And then he disappeared from the conversation.
The old ancestor with the star pupils, smirked, wiping the sweat off of her body. "Young Master Leiji, was it? That was some impressive might you have. I bet you could have any-"
This time Smiles stopped her martial sister. "Martial Sister, while I do appreciate your ability to recognize that fact. I can't help but sense you have a hidden desire in those words. So I'll have to ask you to refrain from thinking such thoughts about your Martial Nephew."
Cang laughed so hard his sides were hurting. "Wow, That was quite an impressive aura you have there kid. I gotta ask you now, how is your love life? Surely you've got a few prospects at the very least."
"Since you asked so nicely, and… it doesn't seem like the others are going to recover from this spell of laughter any time soon, I'll humor you."
"Excellent. Now as many details as you please."
"Well, I have 12 beautiful wives at home. Each one a woman I couldn't live without. It doesn't matter how we met, and married, only that they be there for my family. They've been fantastic big sisters to my siblings. And they're all excellent lovers, though I won't be handing out any of the more elaborate details about such times, I do have some class, even as rough I come off." I began, then sighed. "I was actually just about to have a huge increase in my harem's size. But then I sensed there was a dire situation that couldn't be left unanswered. And now… Here we are, preparing for a huge showdown to begin."
Cang, in his age, saw through the weight of these words, and felt like he had let his junior's down. "I see, you really have a huge weight on your shoulders don't you?" He paused. "Listen, I've lived more than a million years. And in that time I've learned a few things. I can tell you've got it handled. I wish there was more I could do to help you in this battle, but alas I am nothing against the world creation realm. Only you can do this."
I chuckled a little. "Thanks for the backhanded compliment, senior Cang. But I'm not a world creation realm master. If I were, I'd have already snapped my fingers and ended this whole ordeal. My path does have the potential to achieve such levels. But, I'm far from such power right now. That said, I do have enough to contend with this mass of disgust on somewhat equal footing."
