With the completion of all the work I was actually required for, having been completed, I left the room to find my students. It was time to give them some more… Hands-on experience. Arriving at the designated training grounds for my students, I watched them closely to get a better idea of where I should begin, then I made myself known to them.
"Disciple greets master!"
"Alright, calm down. There's no need to be so stiff. I need to stretch a bit after being cooped up for the last few days. And I figured you'd like some guidance. So prepare to learn a few things."
"Yes!"
I spent quite a fair amount of time training the students I had. So much so in fact, that my parents finally came out of their seclusion. Considering they took turns again this time, and it takes quite the amount of time each… I spent the better part of 2 months training these students of mine.
During that time, there were lulls in the action where the students would practice their techniques with great interest. Such times allowed me to make proper copies of all of the cultivation techniques, and secret arts that I possessed. There wasn't any danger of anyone ever misusing them since by the time one could understand how to use them, evil was impossible to coexist within the same body. That, and my techniques were extremely high level and took quite the effort to learn, let alone to master them. That is, if one didn't have a cultivation paradise…
In any case, time continued to flow ever forward, and I spent the remaining time managing the Cave Heaven and its relations with the sister forces. I, being the big brother, made sure to spend time with my little brothers and sisters.
As the days turned to weeks, and then to months my mothers began giving birth to what would be the final group of my siblings for a while. As Yang Kai really wanted to focus on increasing his cultivation as much as he possibly could.
With the increase in my siblings, we had an even fuller house. Though no one minded at all, least of all my grandmother Song Du Zhu, she loved every single second of the time she got to spend with her grandbabies. She would often take a couple of them with her when it was time for her lectures on cultivation. She did get jealous of me from time to time though…
My siblings would often want to play with their big brother more often than not. I'd teach them all manner of things, ranging from playing tabletop games to cultivation techniques. And when they did a good job in their practice, I'd give them a reward. My brothers often chose to give them all a ride on my back while we flew through the Start Boundary. Of course they'd ask for me to do this in my dragon form, little ones were smart enough to notice that it rapidly improved their own dragon cultivation by leaps and bounds every time. My sisters on the other hand… Well, I had already given them what they wanted once before, and they frequently chose to have me transform into a woman for a while so they could call me big sister. They were also a little more interested in my phoenix form than the dragon form.
After around 5 years of peace went by… Well, there were obvious signs of war preparations being made but, it was a well known fact what that was all meant for. The groundwork for the Myriads had been finished, and the first Myriad began its formation. And while it wasn't complete yet, they began practice war games. The idea behind them was to work on teamwork within the Myriads as well as get accustomed to working with cultivators from across a vast array of experiences. This inevitably led to the creation of a slew of combination techniques, all of which were… Well, they were nothing to sneeze at.
Also around this time, Yang Kai sent a message for me to see him about an urgent matter regarding his cultivation. So, I went.
"Greetings Father." I said, entering Yang Kai's presence in the main hall.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice, son. I require your assistance with something… I'm sure you can feel what it might actually be." Yang Kai noted, floating in the center of the hall.
"That I can, Father. Though, I'm puzzled why it's giving you such a difficult time… You definitely have plenty of power to pull it off. Are you by chance holding yourself back for some reason?" I asked, floating up to him.
"I was suspecting that as well not too long ago. But no matter what I try, it feels like a massive force repels the combination of the two lotuses." Yang Kai answered, explaining the situation. "I have refined both of them already, it's just this final step I've been struggling with. Do you mind using those eyes of yours to tell me what I'm missing?" He asked, about to begin once again.
I simply nodded and waited for him to begin the process once more. My eyes activated with as much clarity as I could possibly muster. It didn't take long for the answer to be revealed. "Father, use a little more of your fate manipulation at these spots and then push further…" I said, making minor points visible to him.
With the next few breaths being the most dangerous, Yang Kai listened… The ripples of the success he had could be felt throughout the entire Great Territory. He looked at his hands, then inspected his cultivation, and his overall condition.
"Son, this twin lotus is nothing to laugh at. I feel like my strength is rapidly increasing. It's almost as fast when I actually try to cultivate. Perhaps…" Yang Kai said, pulling out a set of 7th rank resources to refine… "Instant… Well that's a verdict… No more need for resources to refine…" He murmured.
"Hahaha, Father, you're funny at times. You could have done this without me." I laughed, holding my sides.
Yang Kai, realizing he was found out, stared at me. "I just wanted you to be a part of it, Son." He smirked.
The two of us then had a long conversation about the Dao over tea. A long uninterrupted discussion. It was nice until it inevitably got interrupted by the needs of the Cave Heaven.
