Chapter 580 - Return to Business (5)

I chuckled for a few moments while everyone settled down from the shock. Learning that something so impressive was made by my hand, was not something they expected. To be fair, they knew I had made it before this meeting, they were just unaware of the true depths of its power until now.

"Young Master, do you have a spare one of those Mortal Coils? Specifically one to spare for myself?" Ma Fan asked, perking up with curiosity.

"Hmm, I don't have any to spare at the moment. The last several months took quite a bit of focus. I really didn't have much time to spare. That said, a little amount of time was taken up by my mothers who kept coming to me about other matters." I shook my head. "That being said…" I stretched out my hand with a gentle gesture towards Ma Fan. "The first one I make in the new batch will go to you. As I suspect it will greatly improve your cultivation. And success of becoming a 9th rank. And to be frank I'm curious what a refiner with your experience would be capable of with the full might of the 9th rank behind you… I'm certain it will be quite interesting." I added with a smirk.

"I won't fail to please you, Young Master." Ma Fan replied, with a deep sense of conviction on his face. It was as if new life had been restored to his meridians, bones, and all facets of his existence. His determination to break through was palpable.

"Good, now then. Back on topic." I said, returning my arm to a comfortable place behind my back. "Each of these myriad forces will have a rotation method like I said before. However, each will have an additional division within them. Specifically 108 divisions. Each one of these divisions will reinforce the Mountain Passes numbers equally." I continued. "And we will induce the rotation by sending Myriads 1 and 3 first, then the 2 and 4. Leaving the 5th to remain behind as advanced training Myriad. To make this as effective as possible, we will have to fill the ranks of the 5th myriad with seasoned veterans from the battlefield. Hence why my father's old crew will be heading up the training in this Myriad." I explained. "Once the time comes for 2 and 4 to be replaced on the battlefield, 1 and 5 will take their place. And so on… This will of course change depending on the circumstances. But for the most part this is what we will plan for. Any questions?"

"Yeah, why not create 6 of these Myriads? It seems like that would be the best idea from where I'm sitting." The replacement elder from the Myriad Demons Cave Heaven asked.

"Great question, with a simple answer." I chuckled. "How many people are we going to have in each of these divisions? Do you know?" I returned the question.

"I'd say around a couple hundred at most. Which makes me even more confused. And I know I'm not alone in this. How are 400 people going to change the tide of battle?" The same elder asked, getting a few more nods. "Even with these benefits, the Ink Clan, while pathetic from your view, they're not weak from our perspective."

I tossed the elder one of the dragon scale tokens. "Give that a try and see if you still have the same questions. It may not change your initial question just yet, but it should adjust your second and third." I chuckled.

In a moment of rogue smugness the elder activated the token. The look on his face was one of utter shock as he then looked at me once again… "And you said that the coil thing was better than this thing… Hell, I think I could take on a territory lord with just this thing… Let alone a few feudal lords, what even are they compared to this kind of power." He stammered in disbelief, yet remained smug enough as to not ruin his outwardly character.

"Well, with that one, I'm positive you could obliterate any territory lord… But that is the strongest variation of the tokens. And was made with an Ancient Dragon's Scale. Hence the magnification in strength and resistance to the ink force." I explained. "Not everyone can get one of those things. It's one I'd give to the 9th ranks out there. As they would benefit the most from it, with rapid recovery times, and the like."

"I see… Then you'll need this back…" The elder sighed, reluctantly tossing the token back to me. "But it still doesn't answer the questions… The ink clan are resourceful as well, hence why they have lasted so long." He added.

"Well, for starters. Each division will have 2000 cultivators as members." I smirked, as I watched the elder sink away again. "That answers them, doesn't it?" I chuckled.

"Yes… I'm now struggling to understand how we could have such numbers… That's a quarter of the forces we already have on the front lines… And we have to magnify the number of troops by such an amount… It makes me wish this was something we could fill in with emperors… Even then it might be difficult to make it safely." The elder said, holding his head as it ached trying to come up with the ability to perform such a thing.

"It's actually easier than you're making it out to be Junior Brother." Another Elder nearing the peak of the 7th rank spoke up. It was Hong Xiang Ling. "If I'm not mistaken, the Myriads that remain behind will take up the task of recovery and training. In a rotating manner. This would provide a wide range of perspectives to adapt into one's own Dao. Which seems to be the key behind Young Master's freakish might… A, Might that, I'm positive he could create a clan similar to the ink clan…" He explained.

"Ahahaha! Father in law… You're overestimating me. I'm powerful, and while I admit I've dabbled in such abilities… It has borne little in the way of fruits. In fact I only learned it as a method to deter Ink from using that same ability against me when I finally fight him. If he thinks it won't help him, it's just one less issue I have to deal with." I nervously laughed the praise off. And continued with other bits of the meeting, until we finally hit every point.
