LAST TIME:

As the seconds ticked by, I opened my eyes and met Gaia's gaze. I deactivated my Asura Rage skill, feeling the burden on my mind lessen significantly. Gaia even let out a soft sigh, and the tension seemed to melt away from her body. Then, ever so slowly, a grin spread across my face, causing Gaia's tension to immediately return.

"What are you planning?" she asked me, narrowing her eyes. I began to chuckle a bit.

"I don't think I can kill whatever it is so easily without any help, so the most obvious option is to train! During the few days I'm here, I'll use that time to develop a technique skill with Greek swordplay while hunting down those other high-level beasts. If I can't develop it, I'll abandon the Tier 1 monster and leave the forest. But if I can create it, I'll challenge the stronger monster," I finished, and Gaia's gaze remained fixed on mine for a moment before she nodded.

"That sounds reasonable to me. A technique skill would greatly boost your chances and might even give you the chances you need. Still, good luck developing a technique in such a short amount of time, it's practically impossible," she said, unaware that my smile grew wider.

"Why, Gaia, don't you already know? Anything that's practically impossible simply isn't true for me. Call it a talent, if you will, or pure stubbornness. It's the Jackson way!"

NOW:

THIRD PERSON POV:

Percy stood silently in the middle of a stream that came up to his knees. The cold water seemed to have no effect on him as he remained completely still as it rushed past him. His eyes remained closed and the only thing that suggested he was even alive was the calm and relaxed breath clouds that left his mouth ever so often. In one hand he also held his sword as half of it remained in the water as its edge almost made it seem invisible to the streams as it parted around it without a single ripple.

The rippling sounds of the water continued and time passed as Percy let out another hot breath as another cloud of vapor floated away from him. It was then a tiny amount of blue mana began to surface from his skin, instead of bursting out like normal it was instead calm and moved hypnotically as it began to swirl around his skin. Not an ounce of pressure or even a hint of Percy's presence could be felt as this happened. If any person were not looking at him they would have never known he was there, it was like he became one with the water itself.

This continued for a while as the spirals seemed to start to combine in certain locations on his body. One whirlpool took a place on each shoulder, elbow, hand, knee, foot, and elbow as Percy furrowed his brows a bit as sweat fell down his face. His concentration seemed to reach its absolute limit as an 11th whirlpool began to gather in the center of his stomach and a 12th began to form between his shoulder blades. As they formed tiny lines of concentrated blue mana spread from them and began to link every whirlpool with an intricate network of lines.

Soon the lines stopped spreading as something akin to a circulatory system floated inside the blue mana around Percy. This lasted for a few seconds before the lines and whirlpools began to sink into his skin leaving only behind a veil of transparent blue mana lingering on his skin. Percy then let out a hot breath as he couldn't help but grin. Hours of hard work and concentration finally paid off.

'The pathways are complete, now for the first movement.' Percy thought to himself as he continued to remain still as the transparent blue mana stuck to him like a second skin. Ever so slowly the mana began to invade the sword in his hand, the blue veil began to cover the blade in a matter of seconds before it finally covered every corner of it. All in all, it only took Percy about 10 seconds to completely cover the blade as Gaia watched from the side with eyes widened in shock.

'It hasn't even been 36 hours yet! Techniques aren't something that you just can create on a whim! They take decades of hard work to even figure out a foundation! Sure he has his past memories dealing with godly power but mana is different, this is ridiculous!' She internally screamed at herself as she remained quiet, not wanting to disturb Percy just in case. Still, the world spirit was at a loss for words as she wanted to shout at the Akashic System for being unfair, taking her eyes off Percy she rubbed her temples a little as she tried to calm herself down.

'At this rate, this monstrous boy is going to outpace the planet's growth rate, his growth will stagnate and his motivation will fall with it. I need to find something to keep him constantly growing, maybe I should make him practice more sword techniques? No that wouldn't work, his focus would be spread too thin… what about movement techniques or defense ones? That could wo-."

*WHOOSH!*'

*Shplitch!*

Gaia was suddenly torn from her thoughts as the sound of a sword tearing through the air and water filled the area around her. Quickly she turned back around to find the stream to find Percy at the end of his swing. The water around him appeared to cut right down the middle for several yards as the water was blown away. Then Gaia saw a dog-sized toad frozen in the air that appeared like it was aiming right at Percy, Percy's sea-green eyes locked into the three-colored toad as it made a weak croak before splitting in two.

*SWOOSH*

*Splash!* *Splash!*

The stream quickly returned to its prior form as the waters raged a bit and the body of the toad was swept away with it. Percy then let a large cloud of steam from his mouth a grin spread on his face. The whirlpools had returned and resurfaced as they quickly spun in place at nearly double the speed they did previously.

Even then they seemed extremely stable at the high rotation speeds. Percy observed the whirlpools in the veil of mana on his body as they slowed down. Soon they returned back to their normal pace and then finally disappeared yet again. Percy couldn't help but grin and then reared back his head and let out a roar of laughter that shook the trees and water around him.

"Finally! Gods that took forever, had to really dig into my past memories there. I need some food." Percy said happily as he closed his fist in excitement before dispelling the mana on his skin as he made his way back to shore. In turn, Gaia just stared at him like he was a freak of nature itself as he climbed out of the stream.

"You're a monster," Gaia said without hesitation as Percy couldn't help but give her a grin of satisfaction from her reaction. Seeing him grin so cheerfully Gaia pursed her lips together a little, she suddenly felt like Percy wouldn't really need her help if things continued like this. Though it was good he was growing stronger it still made her worry a little bit.

"So did you obtain the technique you wanted?" Gaia asked as she floated over to Percy and sat down beside a fire that was just about burnt out, he quickly got it going again and enjoyed the warmth it provided.

"I did indeed, plus I got a bit more than I expected. Here, take a look at the records." Percy said as he seemingly pulled up said notifications and pushed the screen, it then sailed through the air and arrived in front of her as she quickly began to scan through them. After testing a few things Gaia and Percy had figured out to get around whatever was blocking Gaia from seeing his true skill data. Percy had to open it himself and offer it to her for her to see it properly, if not all she got was incorrect data.

After reading the information Gaia felt like she misread it as she quickly scanned through the first part once again but it all remained the same. Maybe it was her unwillingness to believe that what she read was true, or maybe it was the fact her hard work and plans were being tossed out the window left and right. Percy did not simply create a swordplay technique, instead, he managed to create a full cultivation technique. One that covered 5 topics as well! Only extremely powerful families that had existed for a millennium or two had such things!

"Why do you look so frustrated? I think it is fantastic." Suddenly Percy's words entered her ears Gaia turned to see Percy staring at her with a raised eyebrow as she gave a sigh.

"This is honestly amazing but your progress is just… outside my expectations. Everything I have planned out is reworked every time you do something outrageous. It is just so frustrating because now I have to rework everything again! Can you stop being stupidly good at something for like 5 minutes!" She said in a pouty tone like someone complaining about more work.

Percy didn't quite know if he was being scolded or praised at the moment as he stared at the stunning world spirit. Ever so slowly Percy then flicked another page of records as it slowly came to a stop in front of her. Gaia couldn't help but read the information on the page as her face only fell even more as she let out a groan.

[Congratulations! You have completed a world Achievement! You are the first person on planet Gehelia to create a 5 fold cultivation technique, a title will be generated and gifted]

Gaia looked over the first string of notifications as she suddenly felt like maybe the Akashic system was being unfair to her and everyone else in this world. She nearly called out hacks and wanted whatever Percy was doing patched immediately. All she could do was bite the inside of her cheek a bit to calm herself down as her inner thoughts stirred. Every second this boy became more and more of a genius beyond her comprehension, he was truly nothing like she remembered.

It made her wonder what exactly he went through to get to this level of insight, how much she truly missed after she was put back to sleep. Glancing in his direction she saw him cooking a large rodent on a stick by the fire, the image of a genius was instantly lost as she let out a soft sigh. She needed to get ahead of these surprises and simply shoot far beyond her previous expectations to help him out and plan the perfect route for him to raise his tier.

"Want some?" Percy asked, holding out a leg of the cooked rodent as he happily munched on his own piece. The scene before her made Gaia purse her lips a bit as she felt a bit of disgust settle in her stomach. Yet the way he happily chewed on the meat made her question herself a bit.

"Is it… good?" She couldn't help but ask as Percy instantly nodded and gave her a thumbs up as he chewed on a fresh mouthful. Gaia couldn't help but sniff the air a few times as the scent of roasted meat filled her nose. Swallowing a bit of saliva that had gathered in her mouth Gaia floated over silently and took the piece he offered as she examined it.

Although the foot on the end was off-putting, the meat looked perfectly crispy and gave off a bit of glisten of fat. It had been so long since Gaia actually ate something she actually forgot the last thing she ate. Even now she technically did not need to eat at all, the mana in the air that she absorbed was enough for her to live off of without ingesting anything. Yet the scent of the meat somehow made her stomach grumble as her mouth began to water even more.

"I swear if you are tricking me, I won't talk to you for a month." She said quickly as Percy gave a smirk towards her as he licked his fingers and tore himself off another leg from the rodent.

"Please, professionals have standards. I would never serve something I wouldn't eat myself. I will say it is a bit gamey but still pretty decent, I didn't have much to work with at the moment." He said as he continued to eat, Gaia then turned back to the leg in front of her, suddenly remembering Percy's Gourmet skill she closed her eyes and took a bite of the leg expecting the worst.

"Mmmmm!" Nothing could prepare Gaia for the intricate flavors and tender meat graced her tongue as she couldn't help but let out a moan of delight. Flavors she had forgotten and ones she had never tasted before assaulted her as she chewed in delight and continued to let out a few soft moans of happiness. Percy was right, it was a bit gamey, yet it was still somehow delicious. She swallowed her first bite and then took another as she noticed he had stopped moving.

Instantly she noticed Percy staring at her with a confident grin on his stupid face, realizing the sounds she just made a tiny blush cross her face. Yet the grin on his face only grew and made her more embarrassed as Gaia quickly turned around to avoid his gaze as her cheeks burned. Percy could only continue to grin as he continued to eat while Gaia quietly did the same. After seeing her satisfying reaction to taking her first bite of her food Percy couldn't help but want to tease her a little.

"No need to be quiet Gaia, the sounds people make when eating a chef's food are compliments for them. Especially ones as sweet as yours. Also if you have any personal requests for food I can't try my best to make them for you." Percy said as Gaia felt her blush cruise up her cheeks and covered her entire face. Suddenly the thought of hurting Percy crossed her mind, all she could do was quickly push the thought aside as her body shook.

"S-Shut up! I-I don't wanna eat anything you ever make again!" Gaia yelled at him and threw her half-eaten rodent leg at him, Percy couldn't help but laugh as the food harmlessly bounced off his arm. Seeing the stunning beauty Gaia with such an embarrassed, angry, and pouty face Percy couldn't help laughing more. For the first time since the Akashic system had come, Percy felt a sense of ease wash over him as Gaia shot him a small glare.

LINEBREAK:

"A giant cave, how cliche," Percy commented as he and Gaia both stared at the huge freshly dug cave that went into a large hill. Percy just looked around the entrance as he saw claw marks littering the rocky surfaces. This was the cave that housed the Tier 1 monster that had claimed this part of the forest as its territory. Today was the last day that Percy promised he would be in the forest and his only chance to kill this beast.

"Shut up, it will hear you." Gaia chastised him as Percy rolled his eyes a little before he looked up at the fairy-like woman, as let his eyes feast on her appearance for a quick second. Over the last few days, Percy had lost count of the times he had been entranced by this otherworldly beauty. Thankfully he also seemed to grow a bit used to it as well, so he was able to hold off being entranced by her about half the time now.

"Had a good look pervert?" Gaia questioned him as Percy found her two jade eyes looking coolly at him as he grinned a bit and laughed as he turned away.

"Indeed I did, thanks for the treat." He said as Gaia's eye twitched a bit as frustration crossed her face. Ever since Percy grew a bit more comfortable with her this had somehow become part of their routine.

Though it became more or less a game to the two at this point, an unspoken rule saying whoever reacted more in the situation lost. So far Percy was losing immensely, he couldn't help it! Gaia was more beautiful than nearly every woman he knew, past or present besides Annabeth and Piper that is. Still, Percy didn't want to admit it either but somehow he felt closer to her already, her beauty seemed to make him lower his guard around her. It was like having a Charisma cheat code!

"You…" Gaia wanted to say something but managed to swallow down her words of frustration before speaking again.

"Are you ready?" Though her tone was a bit frustrated it had hints of concern in it as her Jade eyes stared down at Percy as he gave her a nod before facing the cave again.

"As I'll ever be," Percy said as Gaia nodded, Percy then took out a small black box that easily sat in the palm of his hand that had several small buttons on it. Gaia felt her eyebrow twitch a bit at the site of the device, this was something Percy had gained from the toad he had killed earlier. It took a bit to find after it fell in the stream but he managed.

"Are you really gonna use that thing?" Gaia asked as Percy looked up at her with a small grin on his face as she sighed a bit at his antics.

"Of course, you're telling me you have never wanted to fight with your own background music before?" Percy asked as he pressed a red button on the device a small slot on the side opened up revealing a tiny indent that something would sit in. Percy soon fished out a small multi-colored gem that he had gotten from killing a beast in the last 2 days.

This was a Tier 0 core and according to Gaia, these fancy cores could be used as an energy source for machines or magical things like barriers or shields. They could even be used in weapons to increase the abilities of the weapon it was embedded with. Gaia called it the energy source of the new world and one of the more important resources his group would need to expand. She even hinted that higher Tiered ones could be used for stuff like powering a spaceship if they ever managed to find a blueprint to build one.

Yet here was Percy inserting a gem into the little slot and closing it as the little black box began to light up and flash. Soon it floated out of Percy's hand and around him as Percy grinned a bit as Gaia rolled her eyes a bit. Soon the little box found its way in front of Percy again as the lights on it settled down.

"Please select a song, multiple songs, or a playlist to play." A fake woman's voice spoke to Percy from the box, at the same time a holographic keypad appeared in front of him as he had to stop himself from getting too giddy.

Wonder Boombox: (Rare/Orange)

A fly musical device that allows one to play any song they have ever heard. The user will be able to select from a list of said songs and even create up to 50 playlists. This device takes 1 Tier 0 core to power for 5 hours at the lowest settings or 15 minutes at the highest settings.

Luck +3

"I still can't believe you got such a dumb rare item from a red chest, there is only a 1% chance to even get a rare item with a red chest to begin with. " Gaia complained a bit as Percy continued to pick out a few songs.

"You're just jealous. Who doesn't want their own theme music when they fight things?"

"Literally everyone."

"I think you're underestimating the male population as a whole here, all of us have thought about it at least once or twice."

"... Just hurry up and pick your dumb songs. I am going to watch from the side." Gaia said in an exasperated tone as she flew away from Percy before suddenly stopping. Percy noticed this as he looked up from the cube as Gaia turned back to him, her jade eyes showed a hint of concern and worry through them.

"Also… please don't get yourself killed. As much as I hate to say it these last few days have been… enjoyable. I would hate to lose the only person I can talk to in this world. So run if you must Percy." Gaia said as Percy stared at her worried eyes while he felt a small pull in his heart before giving her a confident smile.

"You can count on me, I am a pretty tough guy to kill if you ask me. Also, quit raising all these death flags around, you're making it sound like I'm heading towards my funeral." Percy said as Gaia rolled her eyes a bit in frustration as her cheeks blushed a tiny bit, leave it to this crass man to ruin the moment.

"Whatever!" She yelled as she floated away angrily while Percy stared at her for a second.

"Also pick out something you want to eat when we get back!" Percy yelled again as he saw Gaia freeze in the air for a second before flying even quicker into the forest. She soon disappeared into the tree line as Percy's eyes remained on the stop for a few seconds before turning back to the cave.

"Guess we should get this show on the road, first things first," Percy said as he pulled out his sword and gave it a glance over before doing the same with his boots and chest plate. After doing a quick look over and making sure everything was good he began to simply stretch.

Gaia simply couldn't believe her eyes as she watched Percy casually stretch like he was about to go for a jog. Even going so far as using the boombox to play a follow-along stretching song, he even sang a little as he moved diligently and precisely to the movements. A vein on her forehead grew in frustration as she wanted to yell at him to quit messing around, she was barely to hold back her words as she clenched her fist in frustration.

'This boy is ridiculous! Why does he always act like things are a game!?' Gaia mentally screamed at herself as she managed to calm down a bit, her tense emotions leaving her as she huffed as angrily as she could. Her breath shaking the air around her from the power it contained she continued to watch in frustration.

"And done!" Percy said happily as he moved his body around a little and nodded in satisfaction. Ever since he started this new life Percy found stretching before a really big fight a way to focus himself, he always got weird looks in the past but he didn't mind. Once he was done he reached down for his blade once again before glancing in the direction Gaia left. He simply shot a grin in the direction before raising his blade in the direction of the cave.

"Alright! Start playlist 12 on shuffle! Max volume! Also, play the best part of the song!" Percy yelled as the boombox whirred to life as it floated higher in the air. Once it was about 30 feet in the air the item shined a blue light and started to play a song.

"I'M A BITCH, I'M A LOVER, I'M A CHILD, I'M A MOTHER, I'M A SINNER, I'M A SAINT-!"

"W-Wait! What is that song doing in that playlist!? Next song!" Percy helplessly cried out as the song traveled through the forest. Gaia on the other hand froze as the song reached her ears as she couldn't help but snort in amusement.

"I SAY A HIP, A HOP, A HIP, I DIP MY DICK IN THE SALSA DIP ON A TACO TUESDAY! CAN I SPAFF ON-!"

"What the hell! Next song!" Percy cried out as his face was filled with distress, all while Gaia was holding a hand over her mouth to try to keep herself quiet. As the next song played, Gaia lost her battle against her laughter and burst out laughing as tears welled up in her eyes.

"LET'S MAKE SOME FRUIT SALAD TODAY (UH HUH UH), IT'S FUN TO DO IT THE HEALTHY WAY-."

"GOD DAMNIT! What the fuck is this playlist! Just play the song that fits this fucking situation!"

*RUMBLE!*

As Percy screamed the ground around him suddenly shook as his frustrated expression instantly turned serious. His sword pointed towards the entrance of the cave, a suddenly red glow covered his body as Asura's Rage was activated. The rumbling only grew more intense as the seconds passed even rocks began to bounce across the ground from its power. The only sound was the rumbling as the boombox seemed to take a second to process Percy's request. Suddenly the rumbling quickly quieted down as Percy stood ready for battle, only silence filling the air as the whole forest grew quiet.

"Desired song selected, kickstart my heart will now play." A voice suddenly cut through the air from the boombox and Percy's instinct suddenly flared. His feet kicked off the ground as hard could away from the cave as the ground where he just was exploded upwards. A wave of debris filled the air as Percy quickly retreated out of the fallout range as two huge scaled claws reached up through the hole that had been made.

In a single moment, the huge claws pulled up a huge beast from the hole as it revealing a pickup truck-sized armored beast. Its scales were the color of dirt and somehow had a shine to them, a massive armored tail that was just as long as its torso swished back and forth knocking boulders away with ease as the beast crawled over the debris it flung up. Percy just stared at the beast as he couldn't help but blink in surprise a little.

The head of the beast was small compared to its body, like a cone almost as it sat 3 sets of yellowy gold eyes. Each locked onto Percy with deadly intent as a long thing tongue shot out of its small mouth a few times as if tasting the air.

"A Pangolin?" Percy said in slight surprise, yet at his words all the scales on the huge beast seemed to bristle and shake as Percy felt the Tier 1 being locked onto him. In a single moment, both of them stood still as if waiting for the other to make the first more. Percy took a slow but deep breath as his muscles all began to tense as a faint blue glow was added to his red one. Both glows somehow not intermixing as Percy took one step forward and shot forward with all his might.

*BOOOM!*

The beast didn't stay idle either, its huge claws moved in a second guarded against Percy's strike that landed on one of the thick claws as a shower of sparks filled the air. Percy gritted his teeth as the force of his strike was barely strong enough to make the pangolin fall back a tiny amount. The shower of sparks continued as Percy's face began to show a crazy grin as his blood began to pump even faster. Percy's rage state grew even faster as his emotions grew excited and wild, the music in the background raising his mood even more.

"Come on you armored coffin! Let's get this show on the road! Swift River!" Percy roared as his blade was covered with a blue aura. Pushing even harder against the claw Percy forced the beast half a step back and kicked back and dodged a swipe of the other. The claw tore apart the ground with ease as debris was thrown into the forest and tore apart trees like it was nothing. Seeing the force of the blow Percy's grin grew even more, one strike from that claw and he knew he would be in serious trouble.

"HAHA!" Percy couldn't help but laugh as he felt his rage grow several notches in an instant, the coolness spreading just as fast as it kept his mind from slipping into madness. He simply put the ever-growing madness aside in his mind and focused on the quickly approaching pangolin. The beast started to charge Percy at a startling speed as the ground was torn apart with each of its huge jumps.

*BOOM!* *BANG!* *DING!* *CRASH!*

"ROAR!"

"WHAHAHA!"

The two started a fierce dance in the forest as Percy continued to dodge the extremely fast and destructive blows. Percy's sword moved like a blue flash of light as it cut against the extremely tough scales of the beast. Yet even with the ability to cut through any defense of any monster under level 35 it still was not able to do anything but leave small nicks and cuts against it. Seeing his attacks having such a small effect even while buffed Percy narrowed his eyes, this thing was a walking fortress!

Even with his attempts to cut apart the beast thwarted Percy didn't give up as he continued his onslaught. Aiming for areas he had already hit once or twice as he was pushing himself harder and harder as he barely managed to keep up with the beast's speed. Every place his feet landed was crushed and every tree caught in his path was broken to splinters or sliced in two. Yet his eyes never left the beast or lost an ounce of their excitement as his power seemed to grow even faster. His strength grew at an incredible rate as he felt the rage increase even quicker.

'Focus it!' He thought to himself as he felt his emotions growing even further, his fury and rage he suppressed for who knows how long was now like pressure inside a volcano. Taiji Will did everything it could to combat the growing rage as Percy's senses went into overdrive to sense everything he could about the monster. His intuition even played a huge part as he managed to tell what the monster was going to do before it even could. His mind was now like a realm of ice and fire as he continued to fight.

"Come on you brick shitter! Is all you got some stupid fucking claws that can dig? I can do this all day!" Percy couldn't help but yell as he barely managed to dodge debris flying through the air. His body bobbed and weaved with utmost precision as he finally managed to find a chance to land a good blow. His blade sliced upwards with all his might a trail of sparks erupted across the pangolin's armor and raked across its eye. Percy's grin widened as his planned-out hit managed to meet its mark.

"ROARRR!" The beast roared in anger and pain as Percy discovered the beast had managed to save its eye, but just only barely. The thick skin making up its eyelid was barely able to block the sword but a torrent of blood was now flooding over the wound as it blocked the beast's vision. Percy was able to sense the beast's mood instantly shift in that moment, he wasn't just some prey he was now an enemy.

Instantly the movements of the beast changed as earth-brown mana erupted from the pangolin Percy focused as much as he could. In a single moment, he felt a tingle on the back of his neck as he was forced to dodge an extremely fast swipe from the beast's claw as it tore apart the air. The speed nearly doubled from before as Percy was forced to fall to the ground to come out unscathed.

Even then the tingle didn't disappear as Percy stomped on the ground as he sent himself flying backwards from the force. The ground he was laying then suddenly erupted with extremely sharp spikes made of earth Percy couldn't help but swallow a bit of saliva. That was close, if he hadn't sensed it he would have been a Percy kabob at this moment. He then shifted his body and managed to land on the side of a tree as his fingers easily sunk into the trunk to keep him off the ground.

The two of them simply stared at one another as a lul in their battle started, each taking the chance to catch their breath. Percy quickly checked on his mana reserves to find him about at 3/4th. Thankfully he had a huge amount to pull from and the passive use of the sword skill wasn't terrible. Glancing at the spike again Percy gave a low chuckle before licking his lips a little.

"Seems like you are a bit more than some big claws. Guess I will have to graduate you from brick shitter to iron shitter!" Percy said with a grin as the beast's face seemed to grow even angrier as the mana around it grew even more fierce. Yet unlike Percy's mana, it was chaotic and terribly wasteful as Percy's grin widened, nothing like antagonizing people or beings to the point they waste energy.

'Percy, can you please not antagonize the beast that wants to murder you more than you must?' Percy heard Gaia speak to him through his mind and couldn't help but laugh out loud and with that, the lul in their fight was over as more mana was pushed out of the beast as the entire area around them shook.

*BOOM!*

The earth moved like a creature itself with the pangolin at the center of it all, tens of spikes erupted from the ground as Percy's body moved as fast as he could. His sword barely cut through the hard spikes that he was forced to face, as the others were shot into the air around him. As he continued to cut his way through them he made his way to the beast to attack him further and it was then Percy made his first slip-up. As he cut through another spike blocking his path a sudden glint out of the corner of his eye caught his attention.

Before he knew it a huge armored tail was crashing through the air and was already upon him, he barely had time to move his sword in a defensive action before he was struck by it. It was like being hit by a giant metal beam as the sound of cracking bones entered Percy's mind, the force of the tail was simply too much for his body to handle as Percy was sent flying through the air like a rag dolly. His body smashed through trees before hitting the ground and rolling before he managed to stop himself.

Percy kneeled there for a second and caught his breath as his mind seemed to play catch up it was then surprise washed over him. The pain he thought was going to be there was only about half of what it should have been. His first thought of the Asura's Rage skill, the part about numbing pain seemed to be exactly what it said it was. Yet even with the pain reduced the injuries were still very much there, Percy felt his body a little as he stood up and wiped some blood from his mouth.

"Feels like a few cracked ribs and slightly damaged organs. My chest plate did a decent job i must stay. Still… this bitch is gonna pay now." Percy said as he gritted his teeth and spit out a mouthful of blood, his grin turning into a terrifying scowl. The pressure inside his mind grew even faster as Asura's Wrath fed off his emotions, the percentages for the skill growing past 50% as Percys gripped his sword harder.

"Very well! Lets see how much I can make you bleed before you die!" Percy roared as his 60 stat points were instantly used, 40 into strength and 20 into stamina. as he shot forward with a terrifying speed the pangolin was caught unprepared as Percy faced it head-on before suddenly slipping past its poorly executed block to meet its side. Percy's sword glowed an incredible color of blue as it was moved so fast that even a max level Tier 0 wouldn't have been able to see it.

*WHOOSH!*

The blade met resistance at first but combined with speed, strength, and technique it finally managed to cut through the hardened scales of the beast and cut into its tender flesh. The huge slice reached a foot deep into the huge beast leaving behind a geyser of blood as Percy moved again. His blade danced through the air but missed the pangolin as it dodged as quickly as it could. The earth moved yet again as more spike shot towards Percy his blade easily dispatching the earth spikes with each step towards the beast.

"Get back here!" Percy growled as the pangolin faced him head head-on, multiple spears of earth shooting at Percy from all directions as the beast let out a roar of anger. Yet Percy seemed unphased by the barrage of earth spears as his furious eyes stayed locked forward. The blue shell of mana on him then seemed to pulse as Percy raised up his blade as instinct took control of his mind as rage fueled him.

Defensive Technique:

Roaring Vortex (Tier 0): Increase ability to Parry and Block by 10% during technique usage

"Defensive technique, roaring vortex," Percy whispered as the mana vortexes appeared on his body once again and spun rapidly. The blue glow of mana on his body increased rapidly as his sword did the same, it only took a second for all this to happen as Percy took a sharp breath and moved. His sword did not strike true but instead moved and swam through the air like a fish. The flat of his blade struck the earth spears as it seemed to move and redirect each blow with ease.

Slight adjustments to trajectories were all the rough spears needed as Percy moved through the barrage, his blade deflecting spears to collide with one another or miss him entirely. Percy appeared like a deadly viper rushing through tall grass as he rapidly approached the pangolin. The beast's good eye widened in shock as Percy was already in front of it in an instant with his blade striking right at its head.

*WHOOSH!*

*BOOM!*

A burst of hot blood doused Percy as he saw the huge forearm of the beast crash to the ground, the beast let out a roar of pain as Percy peered past the fountain of blood. He saw an additional cut to the beast's face now as well, the eye he had damaged before was now fully gone as the cut fully claimed it. The beast staggered back as pain wracked its body the mana around its body flickering as Percy stood up and looked down at his now broken War Blade.

He had pushed the blade far too much and the last strike had finally taken the last of its life. His blood-soaked figure stood silently with half a blade in hand as the pangolin continued to cry out in pain. Clearly, the beast had never experienced such a grievous wound, as its reaction played in Percy's favor. Yet Percy didn't act on it as he slowly brought up a hand to his face as a look of pure anger and rage started to sprout on his face. His whole body trembled as his muscles bludged even further as a growl escaped his lips.

'H-Hold it in! Come on you fucker! You've been through worse! Don't you dare fucking lose yourself!' Percy internally yelled at himself as his sealed rage and madness started to finally break free. The coolness in his mind seemed to grow even colder as if ice was poured over him. Yet it did nothing but prolong the inevitable as Percy's hand on his face gripped even harder, the skill only continued to dredge up even more rage as he gritted his teeth.

'Deactivate your skill and run! You can't defeat this thing without a weapon!' Gaia's voice suddenly rang in Percy's clouded mind as his eyes started to turn pure blood red. His body trembled even more as the beast seemed to notice Percy's pause it let out a cry of its own rage as it stomped on the ground as its mana reached a new peek. Its mana was like a storm as it rushed into the ground and then the whole area shook as the ground began to move

"WHAAAAA!" The shaking of the ground was the final straw for Percy as his eyes fully turned red, his mind fully taken over by rage. His War Cry skill even activated on its own as the sky quaked under his voice, the pangolin actually froze under the effects of the roar as fear poisoned its mind. The scream of madness effect was activated as Percy continued to let out his roar as his lungs seemed to know no limit.

[Asura's Wrath full rage state has been entered and hidden conditions have been met, Taiji Will's third Passive will now activate]

[Taiji Will: Third Passive effect (Trials of the mind): When a skill overcomes the mental fortitude of the user a mental trial will take place if the trial is passed the mind of the user will be unaffected by the skill. If the trial is failed user will suffer the effects of the skill as intended]

[Detecting that Asura's Wrath skill already has a mind trial set up for when a full rage state has been entered for the first time. Taiji Will will use a trial mandated by Asura's Wrath]

[Because it special mind trial if it is passed Asura's Wrath will raise a Tier and a Title will generate and be given based on the records obtained and events that take place during state]

[Asura's Wrath mental trial will now begin if the trial is failed the user will become a mindless berserker and have their ego altered, memories erased, and base records changed because of the skill Asura's Wrath]

[The system is watching…]

Even with all the notifications Percy didn't seem to notice a single thing as he finished his roar and charged at the still trembling beast. Gaia on the other hand watched in complete horror as she saw Percy fully succumb to his rage as his once against started his fight. Except this time he was the wild beast attacking the pangolin as Percy let out beast-like roars.

Her worries skyrocketed and her fears began to build rapidly, yet all she could do was watch as the two led a path of destruction through the forest. She then realize they were going in a certain direction as her eyes widened and her heart began to race. Instantly she shot into the sky and followed the two and their wake of destruction, their destination somehow right where Percy's group was.

SMALL LINEBREAK:

Elsewhere in a location far away from where Percy was a figure sat alone in a desolate cave every so slowly opened two of his many eyes the smallest amount possible as he felt something. The rest of his body remained completely still as a tiny hint of a red glow left his eyes. The tiny glow revealed a massive body sitting on a huge stone platform, the only clothing on his body was a simple loin cloth made of black fabric and that was it.

The tiny amount of light also revealed 3 sets of arms that were attached to the being as well, two sets hung limply while one pair of hands cupped one another in a meditative position. His skin appeared red as well with trible-like markings on it, yet the amount of dust on him was so immense it was hard to make out many of the markings. Still, he remained silent as his eyes seemed to show the tiniest amount of deep thought before slowly closing once again.

His body once again appeared like a statue once again as if nothing had ever happened, the light disappearing from the room as darkness once regained the place it once had.

Back to where Percy was, another figure was watching him fight from far up in the sky. The very same knightly figure with the black hole design on the chest plate floated silently in space. Their hidden eyes peered thousands of miles through the sky with ease landing right on Percy and the beast. It watched in silence as Percy landed a punch right on the pangolin's face sending it rearing back as Percy's fist lost nearly all its skin from the impact.

The figure remained frozen and continued to watch as a small sigh suddenly left their helmet, their eyes darting towards Gaia as the world spirit quickly followed behind the rampaging duo. Their eyes narrowed ever so slightly before quickly locating Percy as he dodged an earth spike that nearly gutted him. His face was like that of a wild beast as he let out another roar that stunned the pangolin as he charged it yet again. Seeing such a sight the figure's eyes narrowed a bit further.

END SMALL LINEBREAK:

In a world of splendor and desolation, a figure with 4 arms and red skin began to appear. Tribal tattoos covered his red skin and his only clothes were a simple set of black leather armor that covered only his chest and lower half. Each of his hands held a saber-like weapon that seemed so sharp they could cut through just about anything. As he finally fully came into existence 4 blood red eyes opened only accentuating the beings permanently angry face.

Filling his vision was a world that did not make sense, one half was full of nothing but majestic temples, fountains, and many other buildings made from the most pristine white marble to the most lavish modern material earth had to provide. Some buildings were grander than others as special themed designs covered them. Themes like the sun, moon, the sea, and even one designed with hearts. It was a city of perfection down to the last detail as it seemed like the place one might call heaven, yet not a single soul walked the streets.

The other half of the world was a picture of horror itself, countless torture devices littered the world like a playground from a place far worse than hell itself. Unlike the other side, this place was full of faceless humans that were all trapped inside it. Even then wails of pain and anguish filled the air as countless tortures took place at once. Pits of white-hot flames cooked them alive, a sickly green sea that was made of poison drowned them, and even a giant ball made of screaming people rolled over a road of nails.

Between both sides of the world was a simple brick road that led right toward a massive granite temple that was like a sheet of gray. Huge columns held up the massive room while plain stone walls enclosed the center of the temple, the only entrance being a huge doorless entrance that only darkness could be seen through. The multi-armed warrior glanced at both worlds. His gaze lingered on the world of torment for a bit longer until he turned toward the darkness housed inside the gray temple.

He soon began to walk forward down the stone bath and approached the temple as his footsteps seemed to echo with each step he took. Before too long he stood before the entrance of the temple and right before darkness.

"Let the trial of Asura commence! Come and be consumed by Asura's rage and allow your vessel to be consumed, let the primordial race Asura once again be born from your sacrifice!" He roared as he stood outside the temple as the whole building quaked from his shout. Yet the world around him seemed to grow silent upon his words as even the screams of the dammed quieted down.

"Sacrifice?" A calm voice suddenly came from inside the room as the warrior grinned.

"That's right! It is a skill that will wipe you from existence and give your body to the true Asura race! Only we can handle the burning rage it brings and retain our sanity, so just give up while you can! I can't wait to walk on to be reborn! Once I'm done with you all I have to do is find others and once again spread out kind!" He yelled then let out a loud laugh.

"It seems this skill is more than it seems on the surface, to rebirth a race through a skill, how interesting. From the skills description, I assume it has been a very long time since the skill has emerged and been used. No wonder your race was wiped out, you like an invisible plague that spreads without care." The voice said again as the sound of footsteps started to come from the darkness while the warrior once again laughed.

"We are a strong race! Also, we were not wiped out! So long as one Asura exists our race has a chance to prosper!" He bellowed as the footsteps continued, yet the warrior could not see into the darkness and single bit.

"Hmm… so that means when I find the last of your race and kill them you will be fully eradicated from this universe." The voice spoke as the warrior's face was filled with anger, he was about to shout but suddenly a foot exited the darkness as he froze. Soon a 15-foot-tall man stepped out of the darkness, his skin pale as if no light had touched it in eons.

The only clothes on his body were a simple pair of black shorts as his body was revealed to all. His body was the very definition of perfection, every muscle was perfectly defined and proportioned to make him look like a perfect warrior. Long black wavy hair ran down the entire length of his back until it rested right at his hip. Yet what made the warrior freeze was the man's eyes, eyes filled with every color of the spectrum. Like supernovas made of pure energy that seemed to contain the power of the universe itself.

"You say your race is the only one who can handle it but I don't believe that is true. If what I feel is correct the way your race uses rage and everything else is good and all but not for me. I feel one needs to focus their rage on one thing at a time to use it correctly. Maybe that is why I succumb to the skill so easily and entered the full rage state, I am used to focusing my rage while yours does the opposite." He said in a pondering voice the warrior shook in place as he felt a pressure like he never felt before as sweat began to drip down his body.

"W-What is a Tier 0 existence doing with such a strong soul?! This level is already Tier 4 at least! This is impossible!" He yelled as the man looked down at him and ever so slightly smirked.

"You are just now realizing my soul is strong? Does this world around you not suggest such a thing?" He asked in a sarcastic voice as the warrior gulped as fear began to build up in his body.

"T-This isn't the trail grounds?" He managed to ask as the man reared his head back and let out his own booming laugh that made the whole world shake for a bit until he finally calmed himself down.

"No, it isn't. This is my soul world, at least one I manifested in my mind while I was drifting in the void for who knows how long. I guess your trial wasn't able to form properly because of it. Regardless, I acquired the information I needed from you. Now… begone." He said as his eyes locked onto the warrior and glowed a harsh light for a second. The warrior's body then suddenly violently shook and then a huge gush of blood started to pour out his mouth as his eyes widened in shock.

"I don't want to be in such a rage state for longer than I must, oh my I've gotten so sloppy. Gaia is also probably worried sick right now. Just another day in the life of Percy Jackson I guess." He said with a sigh before walking into the temple once again as the warrior struggled to move but his soul suddenly began to dissipate into motes of light that were slowly absorbed into the soul realm around him.

Percy didn't even pay him any mind as he continued to walk through the darkness of his temple before finding a simple gray throne and sitting down on it. His eyes glanced at the struggling Asura warrior as his lower half was already long gone. Giving a soft sigh Percy closed his eye and waited for the trial to end as he pondered his thoughts.

'A skill to allow a race to use any random person's body who has the skill and overtake them, how interesting. I guess even Gaia didn't know about that or she would have warned me. Regardless hopefully with this trial being over the skill will adapt to my own way I use my rage. Still can't believe I lost to it so quickly, I am out of practice on how to control my emotions. Taiji Will should help with my shortcomings until I get back into the groove of things.' Percy thought to himself as the last of the warrior finally dissipated he felt his consciousness starting to return to his body as he smiled.

[User has successfully completed the trial!]

[Rewards and Title is being generated!]

[Constitution: Primordial Emperor (Tier 7) Second passive (Emperors Will) is altering Title and Reward that are to be generated]

[Altering succeeded…]

[Both reward and title will be given after the user returns to consciousness]

[The Akashic System congratulates you on discovering a secret of the universe and will issue you a quest once the battle you are in is completed]

"Hmm… seems like more work is coming my way even when I don't want it to. Isn't too much to ask for a permanent vacation from everything?" Percy said with a reluctant sigh before his consciousness fully left his mind leaving only the screams of the dammed filled the air once more.
