Arlan went to Drayce, who was standing by the waterfall at the rear of Oriana's residence. His expression appeared calm on the surface, but Arlan could tell that Drayce was anything but.
"Dray, I understand how you feel right now, but you have to calm down," Arlan said, placing a hand on Drayce's shoulder. "If your father could help, your mother would have asked him already. Even if you go to him and he refuses to help you fight against the Heaven realm, won't that hurt you more? Let's focus on what we can do with our own strength. Trust me—I know we can fight and win against them."
Drayce closed his eyes for a moment, steadying himself, then simply hummed in response.
