Time passed, and, in contrast to the irritated Seth, Caius was reading a beautifully illustrated book of fairy tales for Venera until she drifted off to sleep. The soft glow of the lighted candles cast a warm, soothing light across the pages.
Once he was sure that the young human girl had fallen into a peaceful slumber, the vampire with silver hair emerged from the tent, his eyes subconsciously scanning the surroundings.
Unexpectedly, the silver-haired vampire was greeted with the sight of three vampires, Micah, Alex, and Number Ten, standing together. Their slightly disheveled looks seemed to show that they had just returned after a long day of strenuous labor.
