Chapter 89 - A whiff of death.

The world had unexpectedly much to offer...apparently, frowning at the crowd from up his tree, Adrian waited alongside them.

There had been quite a commotion about the new student, making him wonder how that went with his admittance to the school.

Rumours flowed and some had even been saying she descended from a noble family and all.

It was why all the students were so interested and bothered to show up, waiting with baited breath.

They weren't the only ones, two pair of purple eyes carefully watching.

Ready to jump in if something were to happen as expected of the headmaster and son.

''There! I see something, over there!''

Everyone turned, as a carriage so intricate appeared, an ocean glow coming off from it.

Adrian wasn't sure how to describe the phenomeen except for the fact that it gave off a calming effect.

It even moved on water, the wisps replacing themselves like a rotating wheel, the water stretched underneath the entire coach.

Magic, ought to love it.

The movement was like the rythmic crashing of water against the beach, the endless repetetion of it.

But unlike that, the coach wasn't forever, because as soon as the people occupying it, stepped out, the coach in all it's glory vanished.

Looking as if it was never there, moving magic to his eyes, he focused and quickly noticed the water hadn't dissappear but had become particles in the air. Brimming with the weilder's magic, a magnificent, invisible weapon.

The other students still seemed awed, he couldn't blame them, the new student with her ashen blond hair and unimpressed facial expression made for quite a first meeting.

The thing that few noticed was that not only were the water particles heavy in the air, it was almost impossible for Adrian to look at her while his spell was activated.

Her face looked normal but when looked at with magic, he could see the blue particles making it up, changing it however she wished.

Just a theory, he had no proof it actually did that or was for an entire different reason.

Mindlessly he mulled over it, eyes going to next person, her maid.

Gasping, his feet slipping form the branch he was standing on, he barely kept himself upright, he couldn't believe his eyes.

Intriqued with the water technique, he hadn't really noticed who the person standing besides the new student was.

One he knew all too well, a core so bright and filled with evil, he could never forget!

Still she smiled brightly, unnoticed, always just there. Watching, waiting as evil filled her eyes, unknown to most.

Her face was different, still ordinary, no longer blond hair but black. Shorter and plumper, how magnificent.

Not only could she change her face, she could do the same with her body.

A part of him made him want to stay put, not acknowledge her existence and pretend he did not known.

However where would be the fun in that?

Green eyes glimmered upwards, connecting with his as a question showed in his.

How? Why?

The question itself didn't matter, her reaction did.

Still the same, a nod of approval, so small he almost didn't see it.

A nod.

A nod?

He gave the question but he was left with more.

Leaving, jumping over the crowd that had even appeared around him, were they no longer scared of him? Shame.

His hair swished around him, while he had complained in the life of Acacius, he missed his long hair so he decided to grow it till he got bored.

The school was pretty empty, everyone still fawning over the new student and as the lessons had been canceled for said student arrival, they had plenty of time to waste outside.

Adrian didn't feel like doing that, instead he was going to search for that spell.

If he can learn that, he could entertai--he could use it wisely ofcourse.

''Young master, where are you rushing off to in such a hurry?''

Stilling, even her voice had shifted...like nails scratching over a chalkboard.

No longer restrained by his godmother it seemed.

''It's been long, maid of facades.''

They were alone, up to the third floor of the school, the floor for first years, wich he technically was?

In later years they would move to a dorm, behind the training grounds. Altough he wasn't sure he would be allowed as there were extra measures taken against him.

Even his own dorm was secluded from the others, he wondered if they looked the same, because his was like pretty cool.

Blood reddish covers and even a light red canopy covering his twin size bed, a desk with quite a lot of space, a bookcase with the nessecarry books for this school year and more!

Dropping down on his small couch, he watched her, still in her new skin.

"You're not surprised?''

It was a useless question , they both knew it.

''Hardly, I would recognise you everywhere.''

In a split second he let his magic wave over the school, unnoticeable to most students, he would find an excuse for his quard dog later.

''Your showing your tricks.''

She didn't say much, signifying her stance had not changed, always merily watching. Inside and also still outside, gazing with darkenend eyes at student and teachers alike.

''You have grown.''

Adrian was sure she used that chilling voice on purpose, the question was if that voice was her real one or not.

If it was, no wonder she lost her sanity.

"I'm going to stay by watching, support your growth.''

Intrique, eyes like a hawk on her, he straightenend. ''Why?''

Not a flicker was to be seen on her perfectally maintaned face.

''Why is it so important I mature and grow?

What is it whoever you work for want from me?"

For a moment there was nothing but silence, everything fading in the background as green and blue battled, either refusing to blink.

''No need to worry, my help is only a benefit to you, if you can't handle something I will make sure you breath.

Just be aware i'm watching you, don't do anything stupid.''

Mana...magic..,he really needed to make up his mind,..filled the room.

It wasn't hers...and yet it was.

Dangerous yet contained, otherwhise the surroundings would be tainted.

With magic so vile, so untrue..
