Xavier was aware of that horrible fact, but had no way to point that out to the system because his senses had just gone on a week long strike. His heart, the booming pounding hunk of flesh, was no longer in his chest. No, it seemed to be settled somewhere around his lower stomach.
Very slowly, he turned his head around and...
"You don't look scary and dangerous at all. Believe me, when I heard the name Grudeling I was expecting something dark, mean and ferocious."
Though Xavier said all this without thinking too much about it, he couldn't have described the creature before him any other way.
Truth be told, he had expected to see something dark and foreboding behind him, something similar to the beasts who lurked in treacherous dungeons. There should've been a mangled face of some sort, maybe a tentacle or two bearing razor-sharp claws, and a wide fanged mouth large enough to accomplish the piercing screams he had heard.
