"It's an honor to serve the youngest phoenix," Krizler stated, his gaze focused on the ground.
Uoiea looked at him upon hearing his response. Then she walked a little closer to his direction and extended her hand.
"Raise your head," Uoiea ordered, and the man did it as soon as he was told.
Then, he noticed the crest on the princess' palm. It bore the empire's insignia, a rising phoenix.
"I'm giving you the authority to command the army when something happens to me," Uoiea stated, her voice calm and collected.
However, Krizler blinked several times as if he couldn't understand what the princess meant.
"Pardon? W-Why me?" He asked, yearning an answer.
"And besides, the prince is waiting for us at the frontlines," he added.
Uoiea smiled at him, making the man blush for a second.
"You can return it to him afterwards," she answered.
