Trapped in the wall of flames, the creature halted on fleeing from Cinn. It turned around and revealed its disgusting appearance.
Upon seeing this, a smile blossomed from the demon king's daughter's lips. She raised her hand, and with a single snap of her fingers, the blue flame vanished before burning down the pillars of the prison.
"Who sent you here?" Cinn asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
But the only reply she got was an ear-piercing screech. Then, the monster dashed towards her with its claws aiming for her neck.
Cinn raised her weapon to defend, and as soon as the edges of her sword collided with the monster's claws, they were set ablaze.
"This blade..." she uttered while looking at her sword.
Then she moved her gaze to the creature struggling from the heat of her flames. Even she was surprised about what happened. She only wanted to parry the monster's attack; after all, she was interested in its origin. Burning it to nothingness was never a part of her plan.
