"Mother, Finnegan Springs and his wife went too far, I lost my composure."
Nelson stood before Dawson Carmichael, head lowered like a little girl who had done something wrong.
Yet, there was not a hint of remorse in her tone.
"Moreover, I know you don't like my boyfriend, but let me make this clear - apart from him, I like no one else!"
After saying this, Nelson raised her head, defiantly looking at Dawson Carmichael.
She had never defied her adoptive mother before; this was the first time.
"It doesn't matter." Dawson Carmichael looked at Julius Reed, narrowed her eyes, and asked, "Can you, treat her well?"
"No."
Julius Reed's response almost made the mother and daughter choke in fury.
Fortunately, Nelson was already accustomed to it.
But Dawson Carmichael, was somewhat irritated.
"However, I can assure you she won't be bullied."
