"I am guilty!"
Town North King bowed his head low, kneeling deeply before the elder.
"I say you are not guilty, and you are not guilty," the elder stood up, gently helped Town North King to his feet, then turned around and walked to the wall, placing his hands lightly on it.
The room was very small, roughly ten square meters in size.
Inside, there was only a plain wooden chair and a crude small table.
A teapot, a teacup.
Apart from that, there was nothing else.
The walls were made of grey concrete.
Above their heads hung a dim incandescent light.
The light flickered on and off.
It seemed to be caused by an unstable electrical circuit.
"My lord, I failed to protect the princess and almost let Kyler Reed plot against her! Please, Your Majesty, punish me!"
Town North King bowed deeply, his face full of guilt and self-reproach.
"Baylor? If that is all she is capable of, it would not matter if she died; there is nothing to regret," the elder said softly.
