Roughly an hour passed before the competition amongst the higher-class nobles finally begun.
"If people come late next year, just close the doors on them." People muttered, their moods soured by the delays.
A flawless stone-tiled stage had been set. It had been enchanted so that it wouldn't crumble unless an extremely powerful spell was used on it. The children were nowhere near that level, yet.
Noble parents had sat themselves down in the stands fitted comfortably so that each couple had a few meters from each other.
Light giggles and muttering were all that could be heard.
The children had been grouped into two separate lines, and a table had been drawn next to the stage, showing who would go against who next.
The young Yevian sighed.
"So boring... Just do a free for all next year." His eyes were dreary and slowly closing.
A skinny man in a flashy black suit went into the middle of the stage. Everyone recognized him as the only referee.
