Illuminated by the Prophet's light, Charles instantly regained clarity. He looked at Lily, who was smiling contentedly beside him, and suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.
"What has happened to me? Why have I lingered in such a dangerous place for so long?"
Charles stood by the window, still in shock, watching the humans outside.
Thinking that their smiling faces had just been on his own, Charles felt a chilling sensation.
"What exactly is going on here? Could that big tree have the same halo as 1002?"
However, Charles had no time to think about it anymore—he turned, rushed back to the bed, and grabbed Lily.
"Lily, wake up! Tell your rat friends to bring all the crew back! We must leave right now," Charles said, shaking Lily vigorously.
"Mr. Charles, wait a moment, let me sleep a bit longer," Lily said groggily, rubbing her eyes with her little paws.
Just as an anxious Charles was about to say something, the hovering Prophet floated in front of him.
