Jacob was furious. His team was currently joining the second brigade after a week of rest, following a hellish month of gruesome battles and forest camping. It didn't help that they were also taking part in a very dangerous mission.
Military command reported a dangerous beast inside the horde—a deviant Blirdoth. They reasoned that since a single company had killed a Hekratinl, deploying an entire brigade should have been enough to take down this creature.
The army selected some of their most promising soldiers for this mission, who were now venturing outside the city to find the creature and separate it from the horde.
"Stop throwing a tantrum, Jacob," Andrea said. "We can do nothing about it anyway, and the only thing you are doing is making me nervous."
Team captain Bisk spoke with the other two members of their team, explaining their roles in the upcoming mission.
