"And that's basically it..." Cain with, a wry smile on his face.
Steve rubbed his face, the look of disbelief still fresh on his face.
"So you are trying to tell me that not only was your soul just hijacked by an incredibly powerful outer Devil, he also threatened to turn you into a Devil of you didn't go with his whims?"
Cain nodded.
"And you also had to soul battle with an incredibly powerful astral creature from another world?" Blaze muttered, shaking his head.
"And all that happened in the span of a few hours. That's what I find hard to believe the most." Steve said.
He laughed then turned to stare at Cain,
"Your luck is rather strange, isn't it?"
Cain shrugged, "I don't know if strange is the word..."
"Either way, it doesn't matter. Glad to see you are still alive. I think." Steve said dryly, waving his hand.
An inquisitive glimmer then appeared in his eyes,
"But was there any progress?"
Cain exhaled deeply, the ghost of a chuckle escaping his lips.
