The fully forthcoming kiss the emperors shared with one another revealed what they had been holding back for days now. Varya had been too busy and stressed to even think of being affectionate even though Basileus certainly did try.
However, he knew that holding back in the days leading up would make the night they could finally indulge in one another all that much more sweet.
