Chapter 404 - The Beginning of the Empire's Damnation

(General POV)

Location the Warhammer 40k World-The Materium/Realspace: Alderi Empire-Paradiseworld, Meeichen

It's been close to a thousand years, or more since the vile daemons of the Warp, have retreated back to their hellish domain of the Immaterium.

Completely confusing and concerning the more "reasonable" members of the Alderi, many farseers, princes, and warriors amongst the empire's forces, were always at guard and watch for any sight of the vile, touch of the ruinous powers in their expanding empire.

In Meeichen the eternal paradise, is classified as a paradise/pleasureworld, which tend to be of outstanding natural beauty and the population of such worlds are dedicated to pampering the nobility and high ranking of any society in the world of 40k.

In the beautiful scenery of costal paradise, with clear beaches, and massive cloisters of floating landmass with grand waterfalls, that continuesly feed into the beautiful Oceans of Meeichen, in this world, after soo many years without risk or danger, they were all there lavishing themselves with endless parties and revery, the elders and nobility of the sector of the empire were utterly gluttonous in debauchery and pleasure.

With the only threat...if one can call it, being the primitive, warmongering brutes of the orkz, the majority of the eldar, have only been expanding their reaches of their domain, and enjoying a fruitful, and lavished existence.

No famine, no struggle, no worries, all that was left self-indulgence and enjoying everything that they could imagine.

This life style of extreme debauchery was spreading throughout the eldars, worse than any plague that the Decaying God could muster, some even believe that their strength and superiority has pushed back the daemons and scared the Dark Gods back into the Warp...honestly if not for the Carnage God, holding back his brothers, sisters-in-law, and nieces they'd obliterated all those fat eldar, along with their worlds, for daring to spew those words...

This started forming some friction among the empire, some even started to leave the eldar worlds to join various armies currently engaged in war on other planets, or joining Farseer Eldrad in the sacred task of investigating the reason that Chaos has been...inactive.

Speaking of said farseer, eventually Eldrad Ulthran, and his ever-growing army of followers, have made progress on the task given by the alderi leaders to investigate this concern.

Eldrad and his followers, expanded their investigation onto the northern, Outer Rim of the Milky Way, truly discovering the most major source of Chaos-taint, the Anarkarr Stars, many worlds have been disappearing from the psychic sight of the seers and farseers.

Along with massive scores of alderi warriors, completely fading away, there were rumors of a "blank space" that even the most powerful of psykers, among their people couldn't send message or even access to the Webway.

As Eldrad saw...no sensed the vile forces of Chaos, pulsating through this massive, eldritch sector in the Materium, from the safety of his flagship bridge.

This place was the Dark Gods' literal grip on their world, Eldrad believes that the answer of all their questions is within this dangerous, reality bending, never ending war-plagued, sector in the outer rim.

He thought again of the future visions that Eldrad has viewed for millenia now.

Always that sight of...her...has caused many mental anguish and migraines, calming his mind and heart, he now that soon he'll lead a massive, ever-growing campaign into this sector...now known, as the Ashulahky, which translates into "The Stars that Constantly Suffers".

Another thought that has been plaguing and also ashaming Eldrad, is what is starting to spread across the empire.

Many once great, dedicated, and able leaders, as well as civilians, workers, scholar, artisans, and warriors were falling into the thralls of decadence, and self-indulgence.

Engorging themselves unspeakable excesses of food, drink, and pleasures of the flesh, while this resulted in a huge boom in population, it also darkening their souls, Eldrad's empty right fist, squeeze tightly around itself, as he saw this...sickness, affect his once glorious and noble brethren.

At that moment he senced someone approuching him, as a red wraithbone armored and yellowed helm, eldar warrior from the fire dragon, he placed his eldar style flammer, called a fusion gun across his chestplate.

Excusing himself for interrupting his Lord Eldrad, which Eldrad eased his fire dragon follower, and requested his follower to tell him why he came to see him.

The Fire Dragon, told Eldrad that his troops and fleet were ready to move out at his command, Eldrad nodded and thanked the warrior and commanding said fire dragon to extend his command to advance and start making their way to Ashulahky/Anarkarr Stars, the fire dragon nodded to Eldrad and left him alone again.

After sighing Eldrad, straighten himself and prepare to face the upcoming challenges and dangers that the Chaos infected, and corrupted sector to complete the tasked he was assigned to him, but also find a possible solution for this dark decadence that is plaguing his people.

But unknown to the farseer, he was just a another pawn of not only fate, but other forces of Chaos as well...

(Laharl/Carnage God POV)

Location the Warp/Immaterium: The Nethervoid-Castle Neo Oblivion/Throne Chamber

I and most likely my fellow Dark Gods, were watching everything unfolding to the eldars.

It was hilarious, almost if his brother Tzeentch, has always deemed that eldar were predestined to become the embodiment of excess, and source of Slaanesh's birth, I mean it only took a thousand years for eldar to start in there path of their ultimate doomsday.

While it'll take a few millenias more, the eldars are going to spawn and birth the youngest of the Chaos Gods, She Who Thirst, the Princess of Pleasure, the Dark Princess, Slaanesh.

In truth aside from a Undivided Army of Chaos and Daemons, it'd main a Slaanesh Army in all three settings of Warhammer.

So I'll admit it, I'm excited to meet, fight, and humble my future little sister, aside from that inevitable end of the "greatest" empire of 40k...apart from the Necrons before them, and then Humanity after them...now that he thought about it, no empire ever lasts in this world, well it's called the Grimdark Galaxy for some reason.

But returning to my main thought-line, I'm actually impressed with Eldrad, the literal "him" among the Eldar Faction, he was loved soo much that his original death was retconned in Abaddon's 13th Black Crusade.

Even now with him at his most earliest version, he possess quiet the psychic power and presence, as a smile creeped on my face, all I can say is that his soul will be mine in the end...I'll even fight or negotiate with Slaanesh about this, such a powerful soul from a iconic character, and seems that they'll still be quite an abundance of eldar souls coming into the Warp, with Eldrad leading a expedition fleet onto the Anarkarr Stars.

Which means free-reign for any of my daemons, or my brothers' to come and slaughter them all in our name.

Getting up from my throne, I decided to take a bath, and relax a bit as soon my brothers and I will be returning to our campaign in the Old World.

Tzeentch has told me, several years ago, that he has made some upgrades to his Ixion state, and was actually excited to return to the battlefield, which surprised me.

I'd always pictured Tzeentch more of a dark sorceror, that leads from behind but on the few battles in Kislev he proved that he can fight, and lead the charge, the remaining challengers on the lands of Kislev, are the Bane of Vermin, Olesya Pimenova from Vermintide, Grigori Medvezhiy the Brave, Kostaltyn the Supreme Patriarch of the Ursunite Faith, the Grand Hag Matriarch of Kislev, Mother Ostankya, Boris Ursus the Champion of Ursun and the father of the Tzarina, and lastly the Golden Knight, Naryska Leysa, and of course the Ice Queen herself, Tzarina Katarina.

Of all those named characters, and targets I think we should focus on Mother Ostankya, she aside Katarina are the only magical menace in Kislev.

Aside some lesser encounter with Chaos Sorcerers, and Norscan Shamans, this will be the first time that any one of them has ever face-off against an actual spellcastor, both strong and experienced in using the "Winds of Magic" in the Old World.

While GW never expanded the lore of Mother Ostankya, she has always have a large impact in the Kislev faction, and stories, if fact it was Total War, that actually made a "model" for the Baba Yaga inspired character.

With Mother Ostankya's death it will forced Katarina, to make a more offensive decision to battle against his and his brothers' Dark Legion.

Meaning that they didn't have to go out in hunt, instead drawing in all their prey for a massive war, which will leave us with ample opportunity to establish a greater foothold on the southern peak of the Empire of the Old World, plus this also allowed me to better interact with Tai Tai Shien, smirking cause this also meant that both Nurgle and Khorne could do the same with Yuma and Skarlet respectfully.

Chuckling to myself as I made my way to the baths, and relax for a while...

Location Castle Neo Oblivion-The Bathroom

I let out a content moan, as my body enjoys the warm, transparent violet waters of this bath I'd designed and made, aside from my wives, and children, making this bath is one my greatest decisions.

While soaking I send out my suggestion to my brothers, about focusing on eliminating Mother Ostankya, which they replied with quick agreement with me.

Stretching out my arms, and cracking the bones of my body.

Then I started to think about the other things that have occurred in the last thousand years, within the Warp.

One thing little Mandraggohza, started to crawl and babble a bit more cleary to us, it was such a adorable moment, we were gathered all together in the Statue Rooftop Garden, enjoying each other company, and fussing about our two sweet Godlings, Mandraggohza and Gjelbër.

When Mandraggohza, was laying on our blanket she wanted her mommy and daddy's attention so making baby noises, and in order to reach us, she crawl, making me, her mother, and step-mothers very proud.

With that Chi went crazy, coddling her baby girl, and complimenting her big accomplishment, I'll admit I was soo proud of her, as a very emotional smile was spread in my face.

As continue my soaking, I'd sensed that my wives have returned from their small errands in the Nethervoid, and they're making their way to me, seems that I'll have more than a simple relaxing bath, as I sent a psychic message to all of them, "Hurry up, my beloveds. The waters are nice and warm. And I'm quite eager to have you all, join me." after sending that message, my girls rush over in a faster pace, laughing a bit as I wait for them and a very, very pleasurable, long love session between me and my girls.

(General POV)

Location the Materium/Realspace: The Outer Rim of the Milky Way; the Anarkarr Stars

It been a couple months, since Eldrad's fleet has entered to the Anarkarr Stars, immediately after his fleet entered from the eastern edge of the Chaos infected sector, it was under attack by the forces of the Changer, that had the most influence on that part of the Anarkarr Stars.

A huge daemonic enscougance lead by SkekSo, was upon them, for the Skeksis Elder Daemon was desiring some of the essences of the eldars, as well as offering some of the euphoric elixir to his dark master and leader, gaining more favor from them.

Four of his ships were brought down, by SkekSo skeksis that accompanied him in the attack, SkekUng and SkekVar was in change of the main forces of Change daemons, fighting beside their almighty Emperor.

SkekEkt surprisingly was also apart of this massive tzeentchian force, feeling insulted and jealous at the eldars beautiful and style sending him into a rage, he wants to destroy them and take their pretty flesh and garbs to make a new veiled dress, and maybe one for the Mutation Queen for they were the peak of beauty to the Ornamentalist, and he has dedicated himself to earn the favor of Mitochondria Eve, and be in charge of all the decorations of the Impossible Fortress, and also be their and maybe all future Change Queens' private designer.

That is SkekEkt's ultimate change in ranking, and power, which Tzeentch found amusing and actually encourages.

SkekTek was the last to join the assault focusing on scavenging the wreckage of the ships and wraith-constructs to use for his machine and other inventions for the glory of the Skeksis Emperor and Tzeentch!!

Eldrad wished he could lead the battle and save those four ship and those eldars, but they demanded that he continue the expedition to the Ashulahky/Anarkarr Stars.

Regrettably he did soo, leaving over two-thousand alderi warriors were forced to face Skeksis without his leadership, this tragedy has happened as soon as they exit the Webway and entered this literal daemonic sector, as Eldrad continued the boyage in Ashulahky, he requested for immediate aid and reinforcements but the closest eldarworlds, ignored him.

They were soo caught up, with indulging themselves or receiving more pleasures like wine or food.

This enraged the farseer, that he blasted a lightning blue colored, bolt of pure psychic energy at one of the golden pillars, surrounding the bridge of the ship, he felt utter shame at the actions and behaviors of the soo called nobility of his race.

Location the Warp/Immaterium: Over the Plague Garden, the Azure Moon Surface

While the eldars under Eldrad Ulthran, act in their foolish and damned "quest" in the material domain of the Anarkarr Stars, the Chaos Gods are making final preparations on their return to the Old World, within their avatar of Ixion Daemonhart.

In the last nineteen millenias, the Azure Moon, has floated all over the domain of the Dark Gods, returning again to Nurgle's festering Garden.

One event was the Anathema latest attempt to infiltrate the Dark Gods' domain, with the Ochain Shield is impenetrable from any outside intrusion, which includes the Anathema.

Even Nurgle's brutal trouncing has deterred or humble their enemy, he had constantly tried to cross into the Warp, and steal from them like he barely managed with Tzeentch, since then the Dark Gods have been keeping a eye on him, and actually finding amusing the Anathema futility.

Which lead to him once targeting the Moon of the Warp aka the Azure Moon, he tried to claim the celestial body himself in the name of mankind, which lead to another confrontation between him and the Chaos Gods.

Not needing to personally face the Anathema, has the golden projection of their mortal enemy tried to claim and cleanse the Moon of the Warp, from all the Chaos corruption, which the Chaos Gods felt the weak attempts to do so, while the Azure Moon is the only thing that can travel throughout the Warp unimpeded.

It was also fully in the control of the four currently Ruinous Powers, and protected from any outside influence, soo instead of being a slight made to the Gods, and a possible solution for the Anathema to start taking some claim of the Immaterium, for even the Anathema knew of the grim truth.

Death meant that human souls will not find peace in the afterlife, so he needed to start some purging and purification of Realm of Souls, hence the Anathema brazen attempt to take the Azure Moon from Chaos. (Lore states that Emperor's Light/Astronomicon, is soo powerful and pronounced that a whole different sector of the Warp, called the Etherearium is 40k version of "Heaven" were the loyal souls under the Emperor, go when they die in his name, and thus saving many souls from being taken and consumed by Chaos, but with me making the Ochain Shield, he can't make a mark into the Warp, which was amplified by Humanity's belief that the Emperor is divine.)

But his efforts were in vain, the four Chaos Gods banished him with ease, without exerting their full dark powers, but not before stealing part of psyker touch to grant the Azure Moon a greater size that might eclipse the smaller form of the Chaos Gods forms, along with a new power.

The power of materialism, now their Moon would be able to cross the borders of reality and non-reality on certain period of time, for some some moments if the power of the Immaterium can sustain it.

Laharl, he compares it with the Tyrant Star, which is also known as Komus and the Hereticus Tenebrae, in the Calixis Sector of the Segmentum Obscurus, or even the Bad Moon of the Greenskinz, the Azure Moon will spread untold levels of Warp-energies, comparable to a Warpstorm in constant exposure to mortals, mutating and maddening unfaithful, while their followers mortal and daemonic were be empowered and invigorate them all.

This was a welcome surprise, and the anger of the Anathema from that humiliation some time ago, was very fulfilling especially for Laharl, Khorne, and Nurgle who have experienced great grievances with that "human", well the only one that hasn't suffered a great slight/insult is Tzeentch.

In fact the three older Chaos Gods, were hoping that their brother never experience the same as them, and hope Mitochondria Eve would be spared from any of the Anathema's idiotic attempts to stand against them.

Regardless, right now Nurgle, Laharl, Tzeentch and Khorne were marveling at the mass and power emanating from their moon.

Standing on the chaotic surface of the Azure Moon, holding all their corruptive touches with eldritch crystals and eyes, blooming spores, mold, and fungus, magma pools and rivers, feeding to great lakes of blood, and lastly daemonic, nightmarish flora cohabitating with Nurgle's plantlife, and razor needles of pure white, as well with them being inscribed with daemonic runes.

And soo much more daemonic and chaotic touches allover their moon, and as much as they wanted to see the other additions, they needed to head to Ixion's Altar and return to the Old World, the four of them left to the hidden entrance to transfer their consciousnesses to the avatar, and continue their conquest.
