"Where did you go?"
Seeing Stella follow after him after lingering in the headmaster's office, Rune asked what she was doing.
"Nowhere. The headmaster was just asking who I was since she had never seen me before, I guess." Stella paused while looking back at the administration building behind them before turning back to Rune. "So what now?"
"We will just have to find a different path," Rune replied.
Disobeying orders and joining the subjigation on their own could see their statuses as adventurers revoked. However, there were ways for them to proceed forward without suffering such penalties.
"It helps to have connections."
After saying so, Rune decided to make a call. He wasn't sure if she would pick up but he was hoping that she did. After the dial rang for a moment, a familiar voice greeted him from the other end.
(Rune...)
"Hi, Raya. It's been a while. I was worried you weren't going to pick up."
