Chapter 136 - Blood eyes

" Let's team up together and win the game tomorrow okay?" He gave her a grin and she grinned back. " Let me tuck you in".

He offered to lay her in bed with a light cover and went to bed after.

Zillah arrived in the room with the lights off. She wasn't used to sleeping in the dark with no side light on, Alvah knew about this so why did he turn off the light.

She turned it on and he winced. "Turn it off". She looked at him he was covered in the sheaths from head to toe something she had never seen him do.

" Zillah turn the lights off!" His voice angered while he uncovered himself looking at her. His eyes were blood red and devious. Her eyes widened in fear looking at him like this. She wasn't even gone for Soo long what happened to him.

She had no idea what to do but she couldn't stay in the darkness if this was what he looked like. She might wake up to be unalived wait she would'nt know she's dead because she is dead.

She was mindless and could only stare at him. Her fingers trembling refusing to turn off the lights.

Before she could blink, his hands were on the switch, he turned it off himself. Walking to the bed, he laid down on his face with lines on his forehead like he had been thinking.

This was their first night in the new room and she didn't want it to be this way. She opened the door to leave when she heard his voice " where are you going?".

" I…I don't like the darkness" she stuttered turning around to look at him. " It's okay you're safe with me, you don't have to worry".

Not with the blood eyes she was having eye contact with. What did he mean safe with her?, whenever he had blood eyes she swears he must shed blood so now she was the only one in the room was she next?.

She didn't respond she opened the door and left. He didn't go after her as he felt extremely weak and tired.

She had no where to go and she didn't want to disturb anyone. She thought to sleep in her old room but he might find her there, anywhere, she wasn't exactly safe.

She decided to meet with Uncle Ghazan. She teleported to their usual meet spot but he wasn't there. She called his name but he didn't respond. He didn't have a shelter, they would normally meet in the open but he would be her cover for the night but he wasn't here now.

She laid on the cold grass and went to sleep.

The night felt Soo long she couldn't sleep but when she finally did she was woken up by Ghazan's touch.

" Good morning Zillah?" He greeted in question." Why are you here?".

" Uncle" she called him extending her arms for a hug and he held her rubbing her back. " Why did you sleep here all on your own?. Where is Alvah?".

" There's something I noticed about Alvah uncle"

" And what is that?" She began to explain the narrative for a total of 20 minutes, explaining the council and the blood eyes and the shape shifters.

" Shape shifters?!" Ghazan asked in uttermost shock.

" Yes Uncle, shape shifters are around us. From Omna to keva, we do not know who else ". " Elysian feels infiltrated ".

" I can feel it. The shape shifters is a no play. Elysian is lucky Alvah is around, they would have entirely spreaded through Elysian silently and no one will know".

" That's very true Uncle ".

" About Alvahs blood eyes?. What do you feel, what energy is around him?". He tried to inquire about the problem. What exactly is the trigger of his red eyes?.

" Uncle that's the problem. There is no perceived bad energy but the way he looks and his eyes, it's unusual. I haven't seen it before".

" You haven't seen it before?".

" Yes". She nodded

"That is strange. You've spent quality amount of time with Alvah if you say you haven't encountered such before then you really haven't".

He stroked his chin. " can you get Alvah to me on any day. I might have a clue what's going on".

" Sure will do" she nodded at him. " How are things between the both of you?". He smiled warmly.

" It's perfect I suppose" she laughed. " Have a good time with him, he might not be here for long".

The last sentence slit her in half. She felt hurt knowing that Alvah was temporal with her and that it was just a visit. It scares her to bond and tie herself around him when he won't be there forever clearly.

But she wanted to enjoy the most of the little she had " I will uncle".

She thought to spend more time with him, since it's been a while. But she remembered her plans to play games with the others later in the day and she had to leave.

"Take care uncle" she got up.

" Zillah I was supposed to speak with Alvah about something very important when he arrived here but I couldn't. And now this occurrence with him."

" I need to be able to converse with Alvah before he leaves here".

" Will make sure of that uncle". She gave him a thumbs up and disappeared.

She arrived in the room and Alvah was still asleep. She realized he hadn't come after her last night regardless she didn't come back. She was relieved a bit but she had to pretend like she was here the whole night.

She tiptoed closer to the bed, climbing on it, she laid on a portion of his back when his voice echoed in her ears. " Where were you last night?".

His voice wasn't rude nor harsh. She got up looking at him. He adjusted his position sitting up resting on the back to get a better view of her.

" I slept in my old bedroom". She spoke looking down at the bed

" Why?". He looked extremely weak but she commented nothing. " I went there I didn't see you". No way she was caught, her eyes widened at him.

" We were supposed to spend our first night here together but you left me in bed all alone".

Was he hurt she couldn't tell all she knew was that he looked like a wounded lion from last night and she didn't know if the hunting was successful.

" I'm sorry. I promise we'll spend the night together tonight". She apologized with a soft voice.

" Promise?" He asked in reassurance and she nodded. " Besides I didn't check the other room " his words made her crack. Did he just lie to her to know if she was lying and she fell for it.

" So you didn't care to check up on me when I left?" It was a bit annoying that he didn't check up on her disappearance but rather slept off. On one hand she needed him to know her whereabouts and the other she didn't want him to for her safety.

" I asked you to stay but you refused "

" What if something happened to me?" Her voice slightly pissed at him. But he was still calm

" But nothing did". He shrugged. They both exchanged contacts with each other but she was furious while he looked void of emotions. " If anything happened to you it would be me hurting you because of my blood eyes isn't it?".

He tilted his head still looking at her when he got the expression he was looking for. Her mouth opened hearing his words. He knew he had blood eyes that night and he turned off the lights to stop her from seeing it but she did eventually.
