"I'm ready." Ezra nods at her but the frown on his forehead remains.
"But Ezra, you don't look like you are ready." Scarlett places her hand on his palm. "It's okay if you feel uncomfortable about it."
"No, I'm not feeling uncomfortable or something. It's just that, it's not normal, okay?" Ezra says playing with the spoon in his hand.
"What's not normal?" Scarlett asks, facing him. "What's going on in your head?"
Ezra sighs, "I have always heard bad things about Mafia and all but I never imagined what their lives would be."
Scarlett gave him a small smile, "people like us who don't belong to the underworld are no different from them in the underworld. Being in Ricardo's house I have learned that 'whoever has the power will rule above all'."
"What do you mean?" Ezra asks.
"We are all afraid of someone more powerful than us. And to never get on their bad side we people do everything that a powerful man asks for." Scarlett suddenly smiles at him. "Don't you think the same way?"
