Right after the war ended, Adam returned to the Echo Dominion Empire to meet the Emperor.
For the last few days, Adam has been constantly trying to have a meeting with the Emperor. But for some reason, his request always has been rejected. The Emperor didn't just refuse to see Duke Adam, but he also refused to see any other nobles. This kind of thing has never happened before.
Adam wanted to discuss his decision to oppose the Istarin Empire with Daxton in hopes of persuading him to change his mind.
But now that the war was over, Adam immediately came to see Daxton.
Daxton and Adam had a very close relationship on a personal level. Although the Emperor never openly said it or showed it, it was clear that Daxton was very fond of Duke Adam. Beyond their statuses as Emperor and Duke, these two can be considered close friends.
