I walked out of the bathroom ready to meet Vincent. I could smell his strong scent. I looked around. I need to meet him before he enters the VIP room. I haven't marked my mate yet as I worry about hurting her. She is still learning about this world. Slowly but surely she is learning. My wolf already calmed down as her scent started driving me crazy. I was able to make it back and I find Vincent's own wolf fighting against him for dominance. But my poor innocent mate doesn't even notice.
"I expected Jeremy in here?" I spoke gently breaking the tension
"Oh he will be here soon... I ca... I have arrived also to discuss a matter" Vincent tells me all so innocent
I just can't believe he is still a virgin. The most feared fighter in this south region. So many female wolves wanting to jump his bones and still a virgin. I even tried hooking him up with a beautiful Beta from the eastern pack and they ended up becoming the bests of friends. For some reason many females find him really adorable. Maybe that's what my mate is thinking. I could feel my wolf pacing back and forth. He was completely annoyed. Angry. I was so ready to push Vincent aside and make my mate call me cute. But I can't be like that. Vincent is too innocent when it comes to this side of our world. I never expected myself to act this way as well.
I just glanced at my mate as she had some kind of sparkles in her eyes. An emotion very well common on females when seeing a puppy or something adorable running around. I inhaled deeply as I wanted to just push Vincent out and just talk with him outside. But I don't want to leave my mate in here either so I should just relax and try to ignore that sultry scent in the room. I can still smell our own scents still mixed in the air.
"Well alright then... Let's wait for the server so you can order a drink and some food as well" I quickly spoke trying to distract my mind
The scent had gotten stronger and so I looked at my mate. She had her lip in-between her teeth. Something in me started raging as I wanted to take her there and then. My body tensing. She stares right back at me and she then stares to the side. Vincent.
Will my mate be the breaking point for Vincent?
Vincent was staring at her intensely. The hairs in my arm started rising as I didn't want Vincent touching her. No other males can touch her. She is my mate. I heard the gentle cough and I blinked. Snapping out of my trance.
"Are you ok Luke?" I heard her gentle tone asking me
"Yes! I am alright!" I say as I blinked for a bit calming my wolf down
Her gaze goes towards Vincent "You? I never got your name... Are you alright?"
"Yes... I apologize I was deep in thought..." Vincent answers calmly
I looked at Vincent as I linked minds 'Liar...'
Vincent glanced at me as I know mentally he is struggling. It is indeed funny seeing him mentally struggle with his own emotions. Maybe his mate is nearby and his body may be reacting. So his mate may well be here in this city. It would be great for him. If that is not it. Well my mate is in heat so it may take a lot out of me to hold back. I don't want her hormones controlling her emotions and us having sex and she regretting it later.
"Kira... This is Alpha Vincent... He is a neighboring pack... Though miles and miles of distance from our own" I say calmly as I did my best to present him with my arms
"Nice to meet you Alpha Vincent... My name is Kira as you just heard..."she stands up her hands outstretching towards him
"It is nice to meet you also..." he shakes her hand gently
I heard a gentle giggle and I snapped my eyes towards my mate. I started to huff lowly. I want her to giggle with me like that. Why have I not heard that giggle? It sounds so adorable. A giggle I can hear all the time. I would love that so much. I felt eyes on me and I just glanced at her. She had a smile on her face as she stares at me. My wolf was very much happy and puffing his chest proudly. My mate is so beautiful. Kira. I will love you now and for ever.
I saw the movement of her hand and just felt hyper. She wants me to sit by her. I quickly sat down by her side. I felt like a winner for a moment. Why? I looked to Vincent as he had big eyes. I felt dumb for a moment. Maybe I am rubbing in about my mate too much.
'You are lucky Luke... I can't believe you found your mate so fast' Vincent mind linked me as his eyes showed how he was feeling
I held my mate by her waist and she leaned in. I muttered an apology and what a coincident the server had entered with part of my order. The smell of meat making my mouth water. My stomach grumbling already. I am so happy it couldn't be heard. I finally noticed the second waiter with the waitress. I could smell the jealousy emanating out of their bodies. Their the gold digging type. They eye's Vincent for a bit longer than expected and I just glared slightly.
I am assuming the first waitress told her friend and that's why they both arrived. You don't need two people to bring in two plates. I just felt completely annoyed by these type of women. I know there are nice females who want to date and have such long life with their partners. But like men there are woman who are disloyal and gold digging. From all the Alpha's I don't want Kira getting close to Noah. The Alpha up north.
His pack is fairly powerful when it comes to money but they are not fighting material. His pack mostly consists of males. Usually females feels uncomfortable with the males flirting. Some of the females that remined are already mated. But some mated females with their mates even leave as they feel awkward. Azalea and Andrea. The two female Alpha's up north with him have tried advising him to start making rules.
Seeing how he doesn't care about the males flirting and or paying for escorts. I can see his pack becoming all male orientated. The place will end up becoming a human College Males Dorm. I have entered those Dorms once. The testosterones and the smell of drugs was so strong I had to walk back out to inhale the fresh air. That scent is putrid for me. Noah would just waltz in and just inhale that putrid smell.
I felt eyes on me and I snapped out as I spoke to the waitress "Can you bring us three more menu... Others will be joining us soon"
"Alright sir... Would you like something to drink?" the second waitress asked Vincent
He looks at her serious while responding "I'll take beer... Heineken"
'Back to that serious personality... Your no fun' I told him in our mind link
"Coming right up... Would you also like a glass of water on the side?" she asked politely as I could see her puff her chest slightly
"Yes... Can you also refill the lady's drink... Thank you" Vincent says politely
I glanced at him as I noticed the gentle smirk pop up but he went back to being serious. Is this man really playing with me? I grinned angrily. Game on. Once the waitresses walked out Vincent and I went ahead and started talking about the rogue problems in code. Vampire rogues are on the rampage as well and we need to talk with the Clans Leaders that are near our pack lands. The Vampire King and the Lycan King decided to place a Vampire Clan near an Alpha's Territories.
To assist each other with rogue problems. We all want to keep coexisting with humans. Rogues accept that law but they still go wild hunting humans for sports. When drinking too much blood the vampires can go rogue and can cause mass disaster as humans will label the rogue vampire as a Cannibal Serial Assassin. Wolves. Being that rogue wolves are unable to turn much back into their human forms. They get labeled as Dire wolves with rabies.
Luckily Wolves and Vampires have hidden members with the police force. So whenever a vampire or wolf is shot down. The hidden members notify and each Clan Leader or Alpha get the bodies to be buried by the sacred soil. That way our secrets don't go public.
It took us hours talking it was nearly closing time. We already ate our foods. Jaqueline and Jeremy never arrived. Something must have happened to their packs territory. They do live deep in the forest so it is understandable. Some love wolves usually run by pack territories by accidents. Sometimes innocent rogue wolves pass by just having fun in their forms and it can trigger warrior wolves to chase after it.
Usually we never chase rogues away. Some are just kicked out of the pack or labeled rogues for abandoning their pack. Other the dangerous type of rogues are usually the criminal side of the Lycan world. Vampire have always labeled outcasted vampires as rogues but they have them by category.
They are categorized by the brand they get behind their necks. Three lines means dangerous and not trusted. Two lines traitor and sneaky. One line run away. Usually one lines in rogue vampires means that the clan had them kicked out because their parents were dangerous and the clan don't want them in their lands. One line rogue vampires are rare as those are mostly the innocent types.
Rogue wolves usually we can distinguish with scents but lately they all have the same scent. The Lycan King is contemplating mimicking what the Vampire King has implemented into his species. But in a way he is doubtful as nearly half the rogues are innocent. Meaning a rebellion is happening under our noses.
I glanced at Vincent and he had that knowing look as well. Something will go down and we all have to be prepared.
I will have to protect my mate somewhere different.
