As for the islands, they were not in the sea but hung off the cliffs of the purple crystal mountains.
These islands were woven from light-devouring vines that dangled from the cliff edges.
These semi-transparent plants seemed to have roots that could pierce the vacuum, drawing nutrients from the unknown, making them appear as if they had materialized out of thin air.
