The humming didn't last long as I continued to wade through a sea of people who weren't my damn targets; my frustration was bubbling up the longer it took, and when I heard Jahi let out a triumphant shout as she cut down a random dark skinned human that had thick locks and a skull tattooed on their face my frustration caused me to lash out.
I could still control myself, of course, but the next person to drop to the ground did so with the high likelihood of perishing due to a stopped heart as I overloaded their mind with the horrors I had witnessed before, specifically the dance with death that I had once been made to partake in.
That chill was still something that lingered at the edges of my own mind, and it definitely helped to cool my fire right now as I pushed down on my anger and replaced it with practicality, with efficiency; Janus was still hunting for me, and my targets were here.
