Leaning into the tunnel a bit, I tilted my head and listened to the echo that came from me tapping my blade against a rock, getting an idea on how deep and winding this tunnel was; it wasn't my specialty, and I wouldn't say I was completely confident in the results I got, but it was a start.
Alongside the sound that echoed back to me, I also inhaled the cool and moist air that brushed against my skin the closer I got to the entrance of the tunnel, searching for any scents that might be lingering around that weren't from the egg.
The echo was absurd, and the taste of the air was just... wet and earthy, like any tunnel that existed beneath a well watered plains; there was nothing extra in the air I breathed in that would suggest this tunnel was of use to anything, but that just made me all the more suspicious.
