Eric sighed seeing her expression and then nodded, "Okay."
"Eric?" Riya looked at him wide-eyed, feeling betrayed.
Before Eric could say anything, Elena glared at her, "Don't instigate him."
"But mother, you just said he is not a good man. What if he—" Riya met her gaze stubbornly.
"You don't need to worry about that. He owes your father a few favors and should be grateful to him. So, he wouldn't do anything bad to us." Even though she said that, Elena felt unsure in her heart. Despite that, however, she had no choice but to go to him if she wanted to save Riya and Eric from Luke's schemes.
Eric patted Riya's head and smiled, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."
He knew this was the best decision because he had just become a cultivator, and even though the system said he was slightly stronger than an average grade one Novice Warrior, he knew he wouldn't be a match for one since he didn't know how to fight properly yet, nor did he have any battle techniques.
