Remington let out a very long breath of air, as a tension that was in his body, yet, his facial expressions remained to be neutral.
It gave her the impression that he was stressed, and somehow her lack of answers only added to it.
He tsked. "I don't understand how you do not know where he kept you. You must have asked, he must have answered at least once. Did you even try to ask him where he had taken you?"
Leah wanted to roll her eyes at what he said, but refrained. That would call for another disciplinary action. "Of course, I asked, he never told me anything. The house never had anyone inside it, except for the both of us. Not only inside the house, I never saw anyone on the island."
