"Leah."
"Hmm, what?" She cracked, her eyes open only to find Lucy's face looming on her.
"Wake up!"
"Wh..why?" Where was she?
"because it's Christmas morning and I want to open all the presents!"
Leah slowly processed the words, her brain waking up slowly, and doing its thing before she replied back with an answer, "ya, I don't think that has happened since I was like five."
Lucy leaned back before looking up with tears in her eyes. " I don't remember the last time I was ever given gifts. It might be before the bankruptcy. I don't even remember if anyone woke up with me to catch Santa—"
"Are you seriously trying to blackmail me in the morning?" Leah whispered, her sleep leaving temporarily. "why?"
Lucy shrugged. "I don't care. Come with me!" She hissed.
For a moment, she closed her eyes and tried to fall back to sleep before opening them again. Throwing the covers off a body, she slipped her feet in the slippers. There was no use of going back to sleep now.
