The world feels heavy as I step outside ten minutes later, the air thick with tension and the distant sounds of battle reaching my ears. The stone walls of the prison I was locked in fade behind me, replaced by the overwhelming pull of the chaos ahead. The gusts of wind pull at my hair, urging me forward. My body hums with the familiar, restless energy that only comes from being on the verge of something explosive. Something inevitable.
I wish that I could say I was free, but I’m not.
The only good thing Elenon did was to give me a chance to fix the mess that I made. He painted me to be a villain, used me for years to gain the trust of my uncle, clearly. And now, now I get to put him in his place once and for all. And perhaps if I can help the others here, I can prove to everyone that I’m not a danger.
