Brina's mouth slowly falls open, but no words escape her lips. Her eyes widen in surprise and she turns her gaze towards the back door. "Well, to my shock and amazement, I recently discovered that I have a daughter... well, my former self did, I suppose." My mind races with questions and confusion as we make our way out the door and through the small garden, bursting with vibrant flowers in every color imaginable. The delicate veins of the petals twist and twine around their wooden boxes, reaching upwards towards the bright sun high in the sky.
"It's quite a complicated story... but she's actually been a big help," Brina explains with a shrug, leading me further into the greenhouse. As we step inside, filled with the sweet scent of blooming plants and warm humidity, I freeze in my tracks. Standing before me are two girls sitting quietly together, one I see all the time and the other I don’t usually care to see.
“Sera?”
