When Edward told me that he would leave for the pack soon but did not give me a specific time when he would come back, I was very sad. I was hoping he would be able to stay here with me until I gave birth to our child.
"Babe, you know that I want to be with you more than anyone. I promise I'll be back soon. I will be there with you when you give birth."
There was nothing I could say to change his mind and I felt helpless. I was reluctant to part with him, but I knew he was the Alpha of the largest wolf pack in America. I might be the most important person to him, but I wasn't the only one in his life. He had his family, friends, and the rest of the entire pack.
Before Edward left, I had asked Alonso to get me a local cell phone so that I could get in touch with Edward more easily. Edward didn't like that idea, though, believing that cell phones emitted radioactive waves that were dangerous for pregnant women and children.
